course, or any paper with research
content.
PublicationResearch paper or article that gets
published in a journal with relevant
information and research findings.
Level of Information
In a Presentation: – Level of information is limited– Crisp in nature– Mainly focusses on why the
report is being presented – Future directions
In a Publication: – Level of information is vast– Information on the background,
rationale, methods, results and discussion
– Discusses the strengths and limitations of the study
– Proper conclusion and take home message
Visual Presentation and Layout• Presentation:
– Visually attractive– bright and self-explanatory – informative depictions (table, figures, graphs, images etc.)
• Publication:
– Not very attractive in terms of visual presentation – Contains relevant figures, tables and charts

– Larger viewer base as publication increases the reach of the research
