As you say, PM is for maintenance of your assets.

CS is either maintenance of the customer's assets or assets on rental to the customer. CS includes allthe functionality of the PM module plus the ability to invoice the customer for any work performed and anymaintenance contracts. There are other CS specific functionality such as quotations, return & repair processingetc. All this additional functionality is mostly in the SD module

So if you have CRM, make sure it talkes to ERP to be able to plan your Maintenance.

SAP-CS->1. Maintenance at customer locations/as par customer requirement.2. You will bill ur customer and earn revenue.3. It mainly starts after saling ur products to customer (for OEM).4. Warranty management comes into play.5. You can handle returns of goods from customer and subsequent repair.6. You can deliver spare parts required for customer repair. (Intercompany scenario also comes into paly)7. You can use CS for commisioning new Equipments at customer location.
