Working Group Basics

Function and scope Subgroups shall:

Be project oriented Have appropriate membership from interested

categories represented on the Committee Have a subgroup secretariat and secretary

Membership Voting members

Officers nominate companies, organizations, agencies, or individuals for participation

DICOM Standards Committee will vote and appoint.

Observers Individuals and organizations may attend meetings and submit

comments, but may not vote

Dues – none Donations – requested

Attendance No requirement to attend WG meetings Any member that misses two consecutive face-

to-face meetings Will not count for determining a quorum May vote in telephone conferences Will be reinstated upon attending a f-2-f meeting

Missing four consecutive meetings converts to observer

Working Group Basics

Meeting behavior No commercial topics. All members are afforded adequate opportunity to

present views. Confine discussions to safety, technical, and

engineering factors. No conversations “off the record” at a meeting.

Meetings We pick our schedule – can be all phone, or zero to

many face-to-face meetings.
