County Board Report The County Board Meeting of October 16th ratified the appointment of Brian

Cuthbert (Bishopstown) as Cork Senior Football manager for a two-year

term. He will appoint his own selectors, to be announced in due course.

The meeting also ratified former Minor Hurling manager, Pat Kenneally

(Newcestown), as U21 Hurling Manager, with Alan Browne (Blackrock),

John Hodgins (St. Finbarr's), Damien Irwin (Killeagh) and Ger O'Halloran

(Ballinhassig) as selectors.

The process of appointing a Minor Hurling manager is still ongoing, and the

Executive was authorised to ratify any appointment that might arise before

the next meeting on November 19th.

The format of the County Championships was debated, and following a

series of votes, the current format was retained for a further two years;

the only change being that Divisions and Colleges will now play off in a

straight knockout competition before joining the main Championship. A

vote on the structure of the Hurling Leagues was deferred as the Senior

Hurling Clubs had sought a meeting with the CCC.

The latest report from Central Council was discussed, and support was

expressed for the new Allianz Hurling League proposal which will be voted on at the next Central Council meeting.

International Rules Team Best of luck to Irish

International Rules vice-

captain, Aidan Walsh,
