In EverDear & Co. laboratories, hair is processed by heat in a vacuum environment, and ashes are purified by hand through a refinement process. The carbon content in everyone’s hair or ashes is different, so the process and results are unique for each order.

CARBONREFINEMENT

Natural diamonds are formed in underground High Pressure and High Temperature (HPHT) environments. A High Pressure, High Temperature press is used to simulate a natural environment for turning the carbon into a crema-tion diamond. A cremation diamond is born in this environment and starts to grow like a shining star.

DIAMOND FORMATION

We, at EverDear & Co., do all our research and scientific experiments

in-house. These research projects help us to improve diamond quality &

stability and enable us to personalise cremation diamonds in a shorter time

frame and at a lower cost.

The International Gemological Institute (IGI), founded in 1975 and headquartered in Antwerp, is a diamond, coloured stone, and jewelry certification organization. IGI has offices in New York City, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Bangkok, Tokyo, Dubai, Tel Aviv, Toronto, Los Angeles, Kolkata, New Delhi, Surat, Chennai, Thrissur, Ahmedabad, Shanghai, and Cavalese.

Gemological Institute of America (GIA)

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA), founded in 1931 and headquartered in California, is a non-profit institute dedicated to research and education in the field of gemology, which sets and maintains the standards used to evaluate gemstone quality. The GIA has offices in 13 countries, with 11 education campuses, 9 laboratories, and 4 research centres around the globe.

Affected by the individual elements inside each ordered diamond, the colour of every EverDear & Co. diamond is unique. These colours fall mostly between Fancy Light to Fancy Vivid.

The round brilliant cut with 58 facets is the most dazzling shape of all. This cut also retains the maximum size of your cremation diamond.

That’s why round brilliant cut is recommended by our experts.

cutMost EverDear & Co. crema-tion diamonds are “VS” or “VVS” grade (Very, Very Slightly Included). This means no internal inclusions can be seen without the help of a magnification lens. Larger sizes may have more inclusions, however.

As size increases, the price of a diamond increases sharply. A 1 carat diamond has 3 to 5 times of value of a half-carat diamond in today’s market.

Different from on-stock mined diamonds, the exact size of a cremation diamond cannot be pre-determined. The given timeframe for creation provides cremation diamonds a size range, but the final size may vary individ-ually. This is the reason why cremation diamonds are priced by carat range instead of exact size.
