In a nationwide competition run by BBC children’s programme Blue Peter, 10 year old Katherine Dewar from Chester, was chosen from 35,000 entries as the winning design of the Queen’s official 2012 Diamond Jubilee emblem.

Katherine’s design - which has a crown poised above the Union Jack alongside columns of diamonds - will be used by The Royal Household and others, as the official emblem for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

A child has never designed an official Jubilee emblem before. Previous emblems, which marked the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 and the Golden Jubilee in 2002, were created by professionals - congratulations Katherine.

2012 marks the 60th Anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen’s Accession to the Throne when she will become only the second British Monarch to have achieved this noble milestone, the last was Queen Victoria in 1887.

Many of you will remember the colourful street parties during the Silver Jubilee in 1977 and the Golden Jubilee in 2002, now 10 years on, every school, village, town and city across the United Kingdom will be celebrating The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

We have specialised in the manufacturing and mail order of medals, trophies and awards since 1988, deriving our name Running Imp, from the Lincoln Imp, a stone carving found in Lincoln’s historic Cathedral.

The Prince’s Trust We are proud to announce that in this the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year, our official Charity of the Year for 2012 is The Prince’s Trust.

The Prince’s Trust was founded in 1976 by HRH The Prince of Wales. Having completed his duty in the Royal Navy, His Royal Highness became dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK, and began The Prince’s Trust to deliver on that commitment.

Around one in five young people in the UK are not in work, education or training with youth unemployment costing the UK economy a staggering £10 million a day in lost productivity, with youth crime £1 billion every year.

The Prince’s Trust address this by working with 13 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.

The Trust has become the UK’s leading youth charity giving practical and financial support to the young people who need it most, helping develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling them to move into work, education or training.

They have helped more than 650,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day with more than three in four they helped last year move into work, education or training.

Each year we adopt a charity donating money from the sale of medals and company fundraising projects, and in recent years have supported the Panathlon Challenge, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and the British Heart Foundation.
