Use only the yarn specified. Other yarns are likely to produce different results. Quantity is approximate as it can vary between knitters. Ensure all yarn is from the same dye lot.

NEEDLES AND EXTRAS• 1 pair 7mm (UK 2) knitting needles.• wool needle for sewing in ends.

TENSION16.5 sts and 23 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 7mm needles.Correct tension is not essential for this scarf, however stated measurements and yarn quantity are based on this tension.NOTE – Scarf is worked on larger needles than usually recommended for this yarn.

DIAGONAL RIB SCARFSCARFUsing 7mm needles, cast on 37 sts.1st row – K2, * P1, K1, rep from * to last st, K1.2nd row – K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end.Rep last 2 rows twice … 6 rows rib border in total.NOTE – To keep Scarf edges neat, join in new ball 3 sts in from the edge. The ends can then be sewn in vertically along the rib line.

BEG DIAGONAL RIB PATT –Work rows 1 to 14 incl from graph or written instructions as folls –1st row – K2, P1, K1, P1, (K12, P2) twice, K1, P1, K2.2nd row – (K1, P1) twice, K3, P12, K2, P11, K1, (P1, K1) twice.3rd row – K2, P1, K1, P1, K10, P2, K12, P2, (K1, P1) twice, K2.4th row – (K1, P1) twice, K1, P2, K2, P12, K2, P9, K1, (P1, K1) twice.5th row – K2, P1, K1, P1, K8, P2, K12, P2, K3, P1, K1, P1, K2.6th row – (K1, P1) twice, K1, P4, K2, P12, K2, P7, K1, (P1, K1) twice.
