Why Areni One ? What is this and where does it come from?

The Areni One is a name of 5,500-year-old leather shoe that was found in 2008 in excellent condition in the Areni One cave complex located in the Vayots Dzor province of Armenia. It is a one-piece leath-er-hide shoe that has been dated as a few hundred years older than the one found on Ötzi the Iceman, making it the oldest piece of leather footwear in the world known to contemporary researchers. We decided to continue the old tradition and carry on the name so its story will continue. We started our development based on this premise with intention to add what we know and develop new advanced product.

The result of our development is the best quality therapeutic shoe available today.

To achieve this goal, we use only the very best soft full grain leathers for the uppers.

We use highest quality full grain cow lining, known for softness and breathability.

Moisture wicking and abrasion resistant “DRY-FAST” fabric is used in the front part of the shoe lining to provide maximum comfort.

Highest quality toe-box and reinforcement materi-als, provide the balance between needed support and desired comfort.

Our polyurethane outsole is as light as a feather and as slip-resistant as rubber. Areni One footwear sets a new quality standard in the shoe industry because it is completely dedicated to your well-being.

To make the shoe we use the very latest availbable technology which helps us achieve productivity, maintain consistent quality and create new jobs right here in the United States of America.

We took our inspiration from nature by carefully studying the functioning of deer hoof. That is how we came with idea of HEEL CRADLE SYSTEM™. This exclusive patented system stabilizes and pro-tects the whole body. With every step heel area of the outsole spreads outwards allowing for more lateral and medial stability and acting as an excel-lent shock absorber. This process spares the joints and protects the knees, hips and spine.

Specially developed last with its anatomical shape and heel cup, creates a snug heel area to enhance stability and a roomy toe area to accommodate foot deformities.

Our shoes are meeting PDAC requirements for an adjustable depth shoe and approved as A5500. Those features are as follows: full length, heel-to-toe filler which provides at least 3/16 inch depth to accommodate custom inserts, made from leather or other suitable material, stable shoe closure like vel-cro or laces, and full/half size availability in at least three widths for proper fit.

We use Dry Fast® fabric for fast moisture-wickening to keep your feet dry and comfortable.

PAYMENT TERMS

SHORTAGE AND DAMAGE CLAIMS

RETURN POLICY

Customer with approved credit will be given terms of Net 30 days from the date of invoice. Accounts with balances 30 days past due will not receive new shipments until account balance is current.

A late fee of $25.00 or 3%, whichever is greater, will be assessed on each invoice if payment is received more than 30 days after the due date. Prices based on F.O.B. Baltimore, MD. Prices subject to change without notice.

All shipments are made via UPS Ground. Proof of delivery can be provided at any time by request.

At customer request shipment can be made using their UPS/ FEDEX accounts.

Shortage, damage, and size/color discrepancy claims must be reported to Pilgrim Shoes within 7 days of receipt in order to be properly investigated.

Specific damage information must be explained to Customer Service in details.

Pilgrim Shoes requires that all returns be approved and Return Athorization Number (RA) be ob-tained by contacting our customer service division by calling 866.493.2859. Unauthorized returns will be refused and sent back to the customer. After obtaining a Return Authorization (RA) Number, please write this number on the outside of the ship-ping package. Worn shoes without manufacturing defects cannot be returned.

Closeout items cannot be returned, but can be ex-changed for the different size if available.

Winter boots with fur linings must be returned within 7 days of delivery. All other items can be re-turned within 30 days of delivery.

Except for damaged/defective items, customers are responsible for shipping charges on all returns. Pilgrim Shoes will not issue a credit for worned, latered or deliberately damaged merchandise. No deductions can be made on outstanding invoices un-till credit memo is issued. Returned merchandise must include original insoles and shoebox to receive credit. Shoeboxes damaged by writing/tape will be charged 15% restocking fee. Return Authoriza-tions will be voided if return is not received within 30 days.
