o Assist transitioning or unemployed veterans and other DOD personnel with hiring events and online career transition resources.

• AfterCareers was initiated in 2007 on the advice of Tinker’s Airman and Family Readiness Center and the OESC Veterans Center to assist the 1,000 – 1,200 personnel annually transitioning to the civilian workforce from Tinker AFB.

• The AfterCareers Career Transition Project seeks to:

o Assist employers in filling position vacancies by providing online and hiring event opportunities to connect with the high quality workforce in transition from military enlistment, DOD employment or other displacements.

o Collaborate with workforce training and assistance programs to promote strategies that mutually benefit transitioning workers and employers.

• DIA has begun the process of becoming a stand alone 501 (c) (6) Non-Profit Corporation.• DIA is preparing to assume the the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce’s role as fiscal agent and producer/manager for:o Tinker and the Primeso AfterCareers

• DIA Will coalesce past, present and future Tinker and the Primes and AfterCareers participating organizations into a vital, pro-active defense industry focused business alliance.

• Provides a Three-Fold Synergy in connecting and leveraging a defense industry focused vision and mission:
