Smiles Corner Episode 9Submitted by Jerry Willmott
Several men are in the locker room of a golf club. A cellular phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands-free speaker function and begins to talk. Everyone else in the room stops to listen. MAN: "Hello" WOMAN: “Hi Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?" MAN: "Yes." WOMAN: “I'm at the shops now and found this beautiful leather coat. It's only £2,000; is it OK if I buy it?"
MAN: "Sure, go ahead if you like it that much." WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Lexus dealership and saw the new models. I saw one I really liked." MAN: "How much?" WOMAN: “£90,000." MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options." WOMAN: "Great! Oh, and one more thing... I was just talking to Janie and found out that the house I wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking £980,000 for it."
MAN: "Well, then go ahead and make an offer of £900,000. They’ll probably take it. If not, we can go the extra eighty-thousand if it's what you really want." WOMAN: “OK. I'll see you later! I love you so much!" MAN: "Bye! I love you, too." The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are staring at him in astonishment, mouths wide open.
He turns and asks, "Anyone know whose phone this is?"

Bear was chasing a rabbit when he was stopped by a frog. The frog said if you stop trying to catch the rabbit I will give you both three wishes. The bear and the rabbit both agreed. Right said the frog and asked the bear what his first wish was. I want all the bears in this wood apart from me to be female, done said the frog. He turned to the rabbit and asked what is your first wish, I want a crash helmet said the rabbit. Are you sure the frog asked, yes replied the frog and he was given a crash helmet. What is your second wish the frog asked the bear, I want all the bears in the country to be female apart from me, done said the frog. He then asked the rabbit for his second wish, I want a motorbike that starts as soon as I get on it, a motorbike appeared. Finally the frog asked the bear what is your third wish, I want all the bears in the world to be female apart from me, done said the frog. He then asked the rabbit for his last wish. The rabbit put on the crash helmet, got on the motorbike pointed at the bear and said I want him to be gay and roared off on the motorbike.
A lady of 80 went to see her doctor and as he was new having replaced her old one he asked her why she had come to see him. The old lady replied I need a repeat prescription for birth control pills. The doctor was taken aback and diplomatically asked why given her age she needed these pills. They help me sleep she replied. How is that asked the doctor, I’ve never heard they are a sleeping pill. Well said the old lady I have an eighteen year old granddaughter staying with me and every night I crush a pill and put it in her cup of coffee before she goes to bed and having done this I can have an untroubled nights sleep.
A teacher was asking her class of ten year olds to use words she gave them in a sentence and the word they were given was fascinate. Annie put her hand up said I visited a farm yesterday and it was fascinating watching the sheep shearing. Thank you said the teacher but the word I wanted you to use fascinate not fascinating. Mary put her hand up and said I went to see people dancing and I was fascinated again the teacher said thank you Mary but you used fascinated not fascinate. Then Jimmy put his hand up, the teacher was worried as Jimmy was prone to sometimes come out with unsuitable comments however she thought there should be no problem with fascinate. Jimmy said my auntie Joan has a cardigan with ten buttons but because she has such a big bust she can only fascinate!!
