Council (acting on behalf of the Minister) will receive submissions regarding the proposal. All submissions received will be referred to the Minister’s delegate for a decision regarding the proposed road closing. The road under consideration is that part of Hay Street, Port Macquarie that comprises the Glasshouse steps/forecourt area. The area of proposed closure comprises an area of 191.7m 2 The purpose of the road closure is to consolidate the steps/forecourt into the existing Council owned land occupied by the Glasshouse that will enable the land comprising the steps/forecourt area to then be managed under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1993 as distinct from the current management under the Roads Act 1993. All interested persons are invited to make submissions concerning the proposal to the General Manager of Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, PO Box 84 Port Macquarie, NSW, 2444. Regarding the provisions of the Government Information (Public Access) Act, information contained in such submissions may, at the discretion of the Port Macquarie- Hastings Council and NSW Trade & Investment (Crown Lands) be referred to the person(s) who initiated the proposal for appropriate consideration. The Glasshouse will be open 9:00am to 5:30pm on weekdays, 9:00am to 4:00pm on weekends and public holidays, except Christmas Day when it is closed The Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton Libraries will be closed from 2:00pm Thursday, 24 December 2015. Port Macquarie Library will reopen at 9:30am on Tuesday, 29 December 2015 but will be closed on New Year’s Day. All library offices will reopen at 9:30am Monday, 4 January 2016. The Cairncross Landfill, Dunbogan Landfill, Wauchope and Port Macquarie Transfer Stations are all closed on Christmas Day only. Council’s After Hours Emergency Contact Number is (02) 6583 2225. EXTRA RECYCLING COLLECTION OVER CHRISTMAS Over Christmas and New Year, Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is providing an extra yellow recycling bin collection. The extra pick-ups will occur from Monday, 28 December through to Friday, 8 January, on the same day of the week your bins are usually collected. Recycle right these holidays! Wrapping paper, boxes and gift cards can be recycled, along with unbroken glass bottles and jars, and plastic containers numbered 1 to 7. Place everything in separately. And remember, no plastic bags.
