Work in summer camps: English lessons with children on different topics, discussing and speaking clubs, involving children into speaking foreign language using games, special exercises and activities elaborated by intern, participation in camp's life: competitions, sport events, festivals. Creation of your own activities using your traditions, customs, crafts, sport and so on.

Introduction & purpose

Nowadays, a limited number of parents have an opportunity to remove their children abroad. And even fewer can afford not only recreation, but also an educational part, going beyond a couple of excursions to major tourist routes. Accordingly, the child is almost has no way to know closer the culture of the country in which he is located. And communication with the indigenous population, native speakers and culture comes only with contacts with the hotel staff, which, again not bears almost no educational moments. And you as representatives of your country can

change it!

Next point is the language barrier. Most teenagers can’t step over the psychological fear of talking to a foreigner, even despite the fact that, for the part, they're good at writing. The reason is the peculiar method of foreign language teaching in Russian schools and virtually no conversation practice with native speakers. In the future the experience gained will help children and young people to be easier and a friendlier in attitudes towards foreigners and representatives of other cultures if life will provide them an opportunity to study or work

abroad.

During the weekend accommodation isn’t provided (the same

If you have any strict personal beliefs - like no mixed gender rooms - you need to tell us beforehand.

Usually on weekends, interns like to visit St.Petersburg. We will try to find a host for you or book a good hostel but you need to cover this cost. If you

Russia is relatively low, as well, please make sure you have a roaming, before you leave your country, so you will be able to contact us if anything at

the airport and contact your parents as you safely land.

Listen to their stories!

-My internship was really interesting, because in Russia for me, was not only a mix of professional and social development if you talk about classes, but also a personal growth for a person in a different country, different languages and sounds. A new challenge per day, in the way that made me a man after my exchange. -For sure the project was well-organised, the OCP Tatiana Simoneko, the LCP Julia Karpacheva and the VP ICX Victoria Puzach were really competent, always worried with the interns and the schools that we took part during our classes gave us all suport and some translators if we needed. The kids and teenagers respected us and were interested about our classes. -AIESEC E&G had been helpful before and during the internship, even i didn't need any visa to stay in Russia, the ICX Team helped me during some personal problems that I had and I am grateful about it. They helped me in Saint Petersburg in some police station and in Moscow at the Brazilian Embassy. So, believe that they are competent. -About culture, now, I'm in love with Russia and for sure I want to come back, during my internship, once or twice times a week we had a kind of talking club that we talked about our experience and some topics like accomodation, food, trip and job. -This internship was amazing, and I have no doubts about the potential of reception team, and the jobs. Because for me I was a child before my internship and all that country, trips, jobs, snow, culture and friends (Russian or others) changed my life. Of course I recommend this internship to other exchange particpants.

- How was your internship and what have you gained from your exchange experience? Wow .. It was amazing !!! I could not believe that I was in Russia. I gained international job experience with @E&G and with Russian Schools. I also practiced my spoken English with a lot of people and I decided to learn Portuguese and Russian languages. - Was the project well-organised? What do you think can be improved on? The project was really good. I think they should improve in order to be better day by day... I think the do not have problems at all. - Has AIESEC E&G been helpful before and during the internship? (e.g. have they provided necessary support for your visa application quick enough, airport pick-up, accommodation etc...)

Yes, it has. They helped me out with my visa procedure. It was great. I recieved all the correct documentation. - Has AIESEC E&G been helpful in terms of helping you to adapt to the culture? (e.g. organise social events for interns or arrange trip within the country)

Yes, it has. - Would you recommend this internship to other exchange participants?

Absolutely!!! It could be a great experience... Russians are good people Jefferson Rubio Bohorquez, Colombia [email protected]
