Physical Activity ConnectionPhysical Activity Guideline Planning Elements

1) Housing, schools, jobs, parks, and commercial and public services within walkable proximity of neighborhoods;

2) Number, size, and accessibility of parks and open space;

3) Presence of sidewalks, walking and bicycle paths;

4) Transit safely reached by walking or bicycling;

5) Presence of affordable community centers and other recreational facilities.
