The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) v1.0 project is intended to improve the recall of AOL sites in third party search engine results, primarily Google. Recall is an issue due to site designs that hinder the spidering or crawling of content by search engines. This problem can be mitigated by the creation of sitemaps. In the context of SEO a sitemap consists of a formatted file of URLs and optional metadata that is hosted on the content site. The purpose of the file is to provide a list of content addresses intended for inclusion in third party search results. This project focuses on data driven content, which is typically not promoted, and generally missing from third party search results today.

The SEOv1.0 system is a sitemap generation and hosting system primarily designed for managing Google and yahoo Sitemaps in the ADP (AOLServer Dynamic Platform) environment.
