Purpose & Goal

PurposeTo identify Motorola RAN capacity indicators that should be monitored periodically against their pre-defined Max limits

GoalsGives a snapshot of the various gauges on the Motorola RAN System to help in forecasting capacity needs and identifying any issues upfront before they reaching the Max Thresholds

Location of KCI Data

KCI data are available at various network elements in the Radio Access Network (RAN)

These can be grouped as follows: CBSC Level (MM/XC/SDU/VPU)

Core Network Level (AN/MGX)

Radio level (BTS)

O&M Level (OMCR/OMCIP)

Depending on the analysis or investigation to be conducted data from one or all of these levels may be required

Note: MSC and PDN KCI are not covered.
