I give full permission to my Muslim brothers and sisters to distribute this article. Read disclaimer.

This is a picture of all of my Arabic dictionaries that I've used and will be using for this project, insha'Allah (if Allah Almighty is Willing). Very soon, insha'Allah, I will capture all of the quotes that I copied, and post them in this article to leave no doubt to the reader about what you see below from Arabic and translations is true and authentic. The dictionaries are:

For the ones I have already used I have quoted them precisely and verbatim, below, to demonstrate how the Arabs of Old, before Islam and during the days of Islam, understood the Key Holy Words that are analyzed in great details below, and how these Words meant to them in their poetries, sayings, and interpretations of the Holy Quran and the Hadiths.

The sections of this article are:

1- The explosion of the Universe and Galaxies bring about Smoke.

2- The moon's S-shaped orbit, reflection of light, and the curvy orbits of the celestial bodies.

3- Geology of the Earth, its Shape, its Movement in Space, its Atmosphere, and the Formation of Rain.

4- Embryology of animals and humans. You'll be amazed at what I've found!

5- Numerical Miracles in the Holy Quran.

6- So why didn't the early Muslims interpret the Holy Quran with these meanings then?? (Hint: Were the illiterate Bedouins Scientists?)

Important Note:

It is very important to remember that Allah Almighty's choice of the Holy Words below was for a Divine Purpose and not just by chance. There were many other choices of words that Allah Almighty could've chosen, but He Chose the ones below because they carried far deeper meanings in them that only Science today was able to unveil and confirm. These Holy Words were used by Allah Almighty to describe how He, the Almighty, Created the Universe and many of the creations in it. The Holy Words are in perfect harmony with Science and with the way the Universe was truly created by Allah Almighty.

The Noble Quran is filled with scientific statements and notions. These are statements of Allah Almighty describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe. What's most amazing is that all of these scientific statements and notions had been proven to be in perfect agreement with science and our modern-day scientific discoveries. Allah Almighty made the Noble Quran be Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) Everlasting Divine Miracle and proof for Prophethood. The Holy Book certainly stood the test of time 1,500 years ago with Its Claims, Prophecies and Miraculous language eloquence, and it does again and again in our day today with Its overwhelming agreement with science and discoveries that were not known to man 1,500 years ago.

Allah Almighty Said: "We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and inside their selves, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things? (The Noble Quran, 41:53)"

Note: When the Arabic word's meaning is listed only in English without Arabic and transliteration, then the word was taken from the Arabic-English dictionaries of Al-Mawrid [4] and Cowan [5].

"15. Missing matter found in deep space ........ No, these filaments are on larger scales than that. As the denser parts of the Universe collapse, filaments are formed quite naturally, leading to a 'cosmic web' sort of structure. "PROBING THE COSMIC WEB OF THE UNIVERSE: NEW LIGHT ON DARK ENERGY

ScienceDaily (Jan. 30, 2008) — Astronomers have used ESO's Very Large Telescope to measure the distribution and motions of thousands of galaxies in the distant Universe. This opens fascinating perspectives to better understand what drives the acceleration of the cosmic expansion and sheds new light on the mysterious dark energy that is thought to permeate the Universe.

.......

The technique is based on a well-known phenomenon, namely the fact that the apparent motion of distant galaxies results from two effects: the global expansion of the Universe that pushes the galaxies away from each other and the gravitational attraction of matter present in the galaxies' neighbourhood that pulls them together, creating the cosmic web

Page 11: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

of large-scale structures." (http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/01/080130130650.htm)

Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Noble Verse(s) 44:9-44:11

Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's authors):

[044:009] Yet, (immersed) in doubt, they waste their time in pastimes.

[044:010] Watch out for the day when the sky would emit (vast volumes of) visible smoke!

[044:011] It would enshroud people. That is a painful punishment.

Transliteration:

[044:009] Bal hum fee shakkin yalAAaboona

[044:010] Fairtaqib yawma ta/tee alssamao bidukhanin mubeenin

[044:011] Yaghsha alnnasa hatha AAathabun aleemun

Arabic (from right to left):

ــي هــــم بــــل 44:9 ــون شــك فـ يلعبـــــــــ

ب 44:10 وم فارتق اتي ي ماء ت دخان الس ن ب مبي

ــذا النــــــــــاس يغشـــــى 44:11 ــم عـــــذاب هــــ اليـــــــ

So the explosion of the Galaxies and the Universe will produce an awesome amount of smoke, which is scientifically true as we saw in the previous pictures (above), and also as we see in the next pictures (below).

Furthermore, we read:

Noble Verse(s) 55:36-55:38

Khalifa: (why is he here?)

[055:036] Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

Page 12: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

3/29/2009

www.answering-christianity.com 11

[055:037] When the sky disintegrates, and turns rose colored like paint.

[055:038] Which of your Lord's marvels can you deny?

Transliteration:

[055:036] Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththibani

[055:037] Fa-itha inshaqqati alssamao fakanat wardatan kaalddihani

[055:038] Fabi-ayyi ala-i rabbikuma tukaththibani

Arabic (from right to left):

ــا االء فبـــــــاي 55:36 تآـــــــــــذبان ربآمـــــــ

اذا 55:37 قت ف ماء انش ت الس دهان وردة فكان آال

ــا االء فبـــــــاي 55:38 تآـــــــــــذبان ربآمـــــــ

Now obviously, a natural rose wouldn't form when a "Heaven" or a "Galaxie" explodes. It is rather the look of it, and this is exactly what NASA confirms:

Natural Roses:

Allah Almighty further said:

Noble Verse(s) 69:16

Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's authors):

[069:016] Feeble and frail, on that day the sky shall burst asunder.

Transliteration:

Arabic (from right to left):

The Noble Quran, again, in this Noble Verse and in many other Noble Verses, predicts the explosion of the Galaxies of the Universe.

Noble Verse(s) 41:10-41:12

Yusuf Ali:

[041:010] He set on the (earth), mountains standing firm, high above it, and bestowed blessings on the earth, and measure therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in four Days, in accordance with (the needs of) those who seek (Sustenance).

[041:011] Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: "Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly." They said: "We do come (together), in willing obedience."

[041:012] So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge.

As Allah Almighty was creating the earth and the Universe, the Heaven was still a hot smoke. The science of modern cosmology, observational and theoretical, clearly indicates that, at one point in time, the whole universe was nothing but a cloud of ‘smoke’. This is one of the undisputed principles of standard modern cosmology. Scientists now can observe new stars forming out of the remnants of that ‘smoke’:

Figure 10: A new star forming out of a cloud of gas and dust (nebula), which is one of the remnants of the ‘smoke’ that was the origin of the whole universe. (The Space Atlas, Heather and Henbest, p. 50.)

The following articles give a great deal of Miracles about the Earth's Astronomy:

The Big Bang Theory and the Cosmic Crunch in the Noble Quran.

The sun rays that we see during the day are different from the ones seen in space!

The Ozone layer is a protective ceiling to earth.

The 7 layers of earth and iron was sent down from space.

The breathing cycle during the day on planet earth by the plants, humans and animals - mentioned in the Noble Quran and confirmed by Science!

Lack of Oxygen and painful low pressure in space. Science confirmed the Noble Quran's Divine Claim.

The Universe is "expanding" according to the Noble Quran. Scientists already proved this claim to be true.

The darkness of oceans and disappearance of light was mentioned in the Noble Quran and confirmed by Science.

The Lunar Calendar is the most accurate calendar - mentioned in the Noble Quran and confirmed by Science. Also the precise calculation of difference between the Gregorian and Lunar calendars is demonstrated in the Noble Quran.

(The following Noble Verse was suggested to me by brother Mahir Karaosmanovic, may Allah Almighty always be pleased with him)

Dr. Munir Munshey (one of www.answering-christianity.com's authors):

[018:007] We have, in fact, fashioned everything in this world as mere adornments in order to test them! To see who amongst them performs the righteous deeds!

[018:008] And We are definitely going to convert the earth into a bone-dry barren plateau.

The site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Earth The location: "Future"

Future See also: Risks to civilization, humans and planet Earth

The future of the planet is closely tied to that of the Sun. As a result of the steady accumulation of helium ash at the Sun's core, the star's total luminosity will slowly increase. The luminosity of the Sun will increase by 10 percent over the next 1.1 billion years (1.1 Gyr), and by 40% over the next 3.5 Gyr.[118] Climate models indicate that the rise in radiation reaching the Earth is likely to have dire consequences, including the possible loss of the planet's oceans.[119] The Earth's increasing surface temperature will accelerate the inorganic CO2 cycle, reducing its concentration to the lethal levels for plants (10 ppm for C4 photosynthesis) in 900 million years. But even if the Sun were eternal and stable, the continued internal cooling of the Earth would have resulted in a loss of much of its atmosphere and oceans (due to lower volcanism).[120] After another billion years the surface water will have completely disappeared.[121] The Sun, as part of its solar lifespan, will expand to a red giant in about 5 Gyr. Models predict that the Sun will expand out to about 99% of the distance to the Earth's present orbit (1 astronomical unit, or AU). However, by that time, the orbit of the Earth may have expanded to about 1.7 AUs because of the diminished mass of the Sun. The planet might thus escape envelopment by the expanded Sun's sparse outer atmosphere, though most (if not all) existing life will have been destroyed by the Sun's proximity to the Earth.[118] What happends when all oceans disappear? The herbage and growth will not get any rain on it because of the rain cycle being stoped

when no water exists on earth to "Send back" water as Allah allmighty explains in several verses!

"Life cycle Main articles: Formation and evolution of the solar system and Stellar evolution

The Sun's current main sequence age, determined using computer models of stellar evolution and nucleocosmochronology, is thought to be about 4.57 billion years.[7]

It is thought that about 4.59 billion years ago, the rapid collapse of a hydrogen molecular cloud led to the formation of a third generation T Tauri Population I star, the Sun. The nascent star assumed a nearly circular orbit about 26,000 light-years from the centre of the Milky Way Galaxy.[8]

The Sun is about halfway through its main-sequence evolution, during which nuclear fusion reactions in its core fuse hydrogen into helium. Each second, more than 4 million tonnes of matter are converted into energy within the Sun's core, producing neutrinos and solar radiation; at this rate, the Sun will have so far converted around 100 Earth-masses of matter into energy. The Sun will spend a total of approximately 10 billion years as a main sequence star.

The Sun does not have enough mass to explode as a supernova. Instead, in 5–6 billion years, it will enter a red giant phase, its outer layers expanding as the hydrogen fuel in the core is consumed and the core contracts and heats up. Helium fusion will begin when the core temperature reaches around 100 MK, and will produce carbon and oxygen, entering the asymptotic giant branch of a planetary nebula phase in about 7.8 billion years, during which instabilities in interior temperature lead the surface of the sun to shed mass. While it is likely that the expansion of the outer layers of the Sun will reach the current position of Earth's orbit, recent research suggests that mass lost from the Sun earlier in its red giant phase will cause the Earth's orbit to move further out, preventing it from being engulfed.[9] However, Earth's water will be boiled away and most of its atmosphere will escape into space. The increase in solar temperatures over this period is sufficient that by about 900 million years into the future, the surface of the Earth will become too hot for the survival of life as we know it.[10] After another billion years the surface water will have completely disappeared.[11]

Life-cycle of the Sun; sizes are not drawn to scale.

Following the red giant phase, intense thermal pulsations will cause the Sun to throw off its outer layers, forming a planetary nebula. The only object that will remain after the outer layers are ejected is the extremely hot stellar core, which will slowly cool and fade as a white dwarf over many billions of years. This stellar evolution scenario is typical of low- to medium-mass stars.[9][12] " (Source)

Noble Verse(s) 15:22

Yusuf Ali:

[015:022] And We send the fecundating (or fertilizing) winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores.

4- From a Muslim web site:

"Modern science tells us that the growth of clouds and precipitation require that the winds fertilize the clouds with a quantity of microscopic particles called condensation nuclei. The most important qualities of these seeds are that they draw water or dissolve into it. The winds also carry water vapor

to the clouds so they will produce rain. The process goes on with the coming together of numerous particles of water in the atmosphere around these condensation nuclei. The smallest droplet of water is made up of at least 100 molecules. It is not easy for such a number to come together by mere coincidence without there being nuclei to precipitate upon. These particles are preserved. In this way, people have come to know that the Qur’anic verse points to how the winds fertilize the clouds with water vapor then with condensation nuclei as a precursor to the existence of rain. Allah says:

See you not that Allah drives the clouds gently, then joins them together, then makes them into a heap of layers and you see the rain comes forth from between them; and they are like mountains in the sky from which He sends down hail, and strikes therewith whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. The vivid flash of the clouds’ lightning nearly blinds the sight.

Meteorologists say that rain requires the development of precipitating clouds. Among these rain clouds are cumulonimbus clouds that form in a vertical direction. They can extend upwards of twenty kilometers. These cumulonimbus clouds have three layers. The lowest level consists of growing drops of water. The middle layer contains water droplets having temperatures below freezing that are still in a liquid form. As for the highest layer, it is comprised of pure white ice crystals. Allah has made the water droplets that are above freezing unstable, capable of freezing by merely plunging into a solid body. This is why when ice crystals fall from the highest layer to the middle layer and meet with water that is above freezing, the crystals adhere to these droplets and freeze with them, swiftly increasing their size." (http://www.islamtoday.com/discover_islam.cfm?cat_id=6&sub_cat_id=42)

5- From Wikipedia: "Cloud condensation nuclei or CCNs (also known as cloud seeds) are small particles (typically 0.0002 mm, or 1/100 th the size of a cloud droplet [1]) about which cloud droplets coalesce. Water requires a non-gaseous surface to make the transition from a vapour to a liquid. In the atmosphere, this surface presents itself as tiny solid or liquid particles called CCNs. When no CCNs are present, water vapour can be supercooled below 0 °C (32 °F) before droplets spontaneously form (this is the basis of the cloud chamber for detecting subatomic particles)." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_condensation_nuclei)

"Coalescence is the process by which two or more droplets or particles merge during

contact to form a single daughter droplet (or bubble). It can take place in many processes, ranging from meteorology to astrophysics. For example, it is both involved in the formation of raindrops as well as planetary and star formation." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coalescence_(meteorology%29)

So when Allah Almighty Said:

رج or عرج is derived from عرجون and it clearly means that the moon's orbit does ,إنعcurve to the right and the left, like the English-letter S!

Remember that the English language, and its letter S were not known to Arabia! And as our scientists today say that the moon orbits the earth in S-shaped loops, Allah Almighty also Said that the moon orbits the earth in dry and twisted date-tree branches loops, that curve to the right and to the left, which is S-loops.

Article #3:

"The Lunar Month

Another example of compound motions is the Lunar Month, which combines these two motions: 1. The orbit of the Moon around the Earth, which appears as an eastward motion relative to the stars. This takes about 27.3 days to complete one orbit with respect to the stars (the sidereal month). 2. The orbit of the Earth around the Sun, which causes the location of the Sun to slowly move eastward along the Ecliptic." (Source)

The moon's orbit around earth appears as an 'eastward motion.' So what is an eastward motion, in general, for any planet? It is an S-shaped orbit as the next article says.

"....the planet appears to speed up relative to the stars and begins moving faster than the stars toward the west, before it settles back into drifting once again toward the east each day. This sudden motion to the west is called "retrograde motion," since the planet seems to be regressing from its eastward drift. In this strange type of motion, the planet forms a looping or S-shaped path against the background of the stars...." (Source)

Article #5:

"precession of the equinoxes, westward motion of the equinoxes along the ecliptic. This motion was first noted by Hipparchus c.120 B.C. The precession is due to the gravitational attraction of the moon and sun on the equatorial bulge of the earth, which causes the earth's axis to describe a cone in somewhat the same fashion as a spinning top. As a result, the celestial equator (see equatorial coordinate system), which lies in the plane of the earth's equator, moves on the celestial sphere, while the ecliptic, which lies in the plane of the earth's orbit around the sun, is not affected by this motion. The equinoxes, which lie at the intersections of the celestial equator and the ecliptic, thus move on the celestial sphere. Similarly, the celestial poles move in circles on the celestial sphere, so that there is a continual change in the star at or near one of these poles (see Polaris). After a period of about 26,000 years the equinoxes and poles lie once again at nearly the same points on the celestial sphere. Because the gravitational effects of the sun and moon are not always the same, there is some wobble in the motion of the earth's axis; this wobble, called nutation, causes the celestial poles to move, not in perfect circles, but in a series of S-shaped curves with a period of 18.6 years. There is some further precession caused by the gravitational influences of the other planets; this precession affects the earth's orbit around the sun and thus causes a shift of the ecliptic on the celestial sphere. The precession of the earth's orbital plane is sometimes called planetary precession, and that of the earth's equatorial plane (caused by the sun and moon) is called luni-solar precession; the combined effect of the moon, the sun, and the planets is called general precession. Planetary precession is much less than luni-solar precession. The precession of the equinoxes was first explained by Isaac Newton in 1687." (Source)

We find in Tafsir (interpretation of) Ibn Kahir, a prominent and leading Muslim scholar in the 13th century, the following about WHY THE MOON HAS DIFFERENT emittions OF LIGHT - from looking like a crecent, to a half moon to a full moon and all different shapes in between:

"The sun rises each day and sets at the end of the day, giving one kind of light all the time, but it moves, rising and setting at different points in the summer and winter, thus making the days and nights longer or shorter alternatively according to the season. Its authority is in the daytime, for it is the heavenly body that dominates the day. As for the moon, Allah has decreed that it should pass through different phases. At the beginning of the month, the moon appears small when it rises. It gives off little light, then on the second night its light increases and it rises to a higher position, and the higher it rises the more light it gives -- even though it is reflected from the sun -- until it becomes full on the fourteenth night of the month." (http://www.tafsir.com/default.asp?sid=36&tid=43568)

"He created the night with its darkness and the day with its light, and they alternate without ceasing. And He created the sun with its shining light, and the moon with its reflected light. and He allotted their stages and gave them separate orbits in the heavens." (http://www.tafsir.com/default.asp?sid=41&tid=46752......First big paragraph)

Yusuf Ali:

There is not a secret consultation between three, but He makes the fourth among them, - Nor between five but He makes the sixth,- nor between fewer nor more, but He is in their midst, wheresoever they be: In the end will He tell them the truth of their conduct, on the Day of Judgment. There is no private discourse among three persons, but He is the fourth of them; nor among five, but He is the sixth of them; neither among a smaller number than this, nor a larger, but He is with them; wheresoever they be: And He will declare unto them that which they have done, on the day of resurrection; for God knoweth all things.

Muhammad Al-Hilali & Muhsin Khan:

There is no Najwa (secret counsel) of three, but He is their fourth (with His Knowledge, while He Himself is over the Throne, over the seventh heaven), nor of five but He is their sixth (with His Knowledge), not of less than that or more, but He is with them (with His Knowledge) wheresoever they may be; and afterwards on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of what they did. As virtually every single English translator on my web site, http://www.quransearch.com/, have translated ADNA ى ,in this Noble Verse ادن58:7, to "lower" or "lesser", then based on what objective ground will we now reject the same translation of "lowest land" to be applied to Noble Verse 30:3?

So as we clearly see, the land which the Romans were defeated in were:

1- The lowest lands.

2- The most despicable lands, as the interpretation of Noble Verse 2:61 above, from Lisan Al-Arab dictionary, along with the many other proofs that I've provided clearly prove that ADNA means the LOWEST and MOST DESPISED.

3- At and near and around "ADNA" ى االرض "THE LAND" ادن . And what is this "land"? It is the most despicable and lowest land!

Important Note: Perhaps, that is why Allah Almighty preceded "land" ارض with the definite article THE ال, and didn't say: ى كم ادن near YOUR LAND! No, He, the ارضAlmighty, instead said ى االرض ادن - making the reference to a specific foreign land, which also happens to be the lowest and most despicable one.

So ADNA ى ,here is applied to the status of the land, making it despicable and lowest ادنand with the definite article THE ال , the defeat of the Romans happened near and around that referenced doomed piece of land.

So to put it together in a simpler form, Noble Verses 30:2-3 should read:

ــت 30:2 الـــــــــروم غلبــــ

ي 30:3 ى ف االرض ادن

The Romans had been defeated at near and around THE MOST DESPICABLE AND LOWEST LAND.

It just so happens that these lands were near the lowest spot on earth, the dead sea area, which is approximately 400 meters below the sea level, and which also happens to be the land where Sodom and Gomorrah were doomed in.

Its westernmost point is Cape Baba in northwestern Turkey, and its easternmost point is Cape Dezhnyov in northeastern Siberia. The continent’s greatest width from east to west is 8,500 km (5,300 mi). The lowest and highest points on the Earth’s surface are in Asia, namely, the SHORE of the Dead Sea (408 m/1,340 ft below sea level in 1996) and Mount Everest (8,850 m/29,035 ft above sea level).

The Dead Sea is the lowest spot on earth. It is also the richest in concentrated natural minerals, making the area a world - renowned natural health spa. The ancient world knew of the area's wondrous curative properties and throughout the ages people from the four corners of the earth have enjoyed its benefits.

3- From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dead_Sea#In_Islam:

In Islam

In Islamic tradition, the Dead Sea was about the land in which the Prophet Lut (Lot in the Hebrew scriptures) lived. The people of the towns and cities were wicked for their acts of

Page 47: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

www.esnips.com/user/jam2000

homosexuality, raping men, robbery and murder and had therefore been given a punishment for such deeds. The punishment arrived when angels in the form of beautiful men were sent down by God as guests for Lut to host. When Lut's people heard of the men, they rushed to Lut's house to misbehave and rape the men. This was their final test which they failed so the angel Gabriel raised the land where the prophet's people lived, tipped it upside down and threw it back on earth, causing the ground near the impact to cave in. Thus, the lowest land on Earth was formed because of this punishment. The non-believers (in the monotheism doctrine) were destroyed and the followers were saved. According to some interpretations, the sura of ar-Rum of the Quran refers to the Dead Sea as the lowest place on Earth.[13][14]

Bedouin tribes have continuously lived in this area, and more recently explorers and scientists arrived to analyze the minerals and conduct research into the unique climate. Tourism in the region has been developed since the 1960s.

Recent History

The Dead Sea Scrolls were found in caves at Qumran at the Dead Sea. The world's lowest road, Highway 90, runs along the Israeli and West Bank shores of the Dead Sea at 393 m (1,289 ft) below sea level.

There are also health spas and hot springs along the shore, besides the unique water of the Dead Sea itself. A golf course named for Sodom and Gomorrah was built by the British at Kalia on the northern shore. The first major hotels were built in Israel, first at nearby Arad, and since the 1960s at the Neve Zohar resort complex. The Jordanian side has seen increasing development in recent years. For example, three international franchises have opened seaside resort hotels near the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center along the eastern coast of the Dead Sea. [15]

4- From http://www.miraclesofthequran.com/predictions_01.html:

INTRODUCTION

Another miraculous aspect of the Qur'an is its prediction of future events, all of which have so far been fulfilled. This is one of the proofs that the Qur'an is the Word of Allah. In the following pages, we will dwell on some of these events.

THE VICTORY OF BYZANTIUM

Page 48: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

An astonishing prediction is found in the first verses of Surat ar-Rum, which refers to the Byzantine Empire, the eastern part of the later Roman Empire: The Byzantine Empire, which had met with a great defeat, would soon gain victory.

Alif, Lam, Mim. The Romans have been defeated in the lowest land, but after their defeat they will be victorious within three to nine years. The affair is Allah's from beginning to end. On that day, the believers will rejoice. (Qur'an, 30:1-4)

These verses were revealed around 620, almost 7 years after the idolatrous Persians had severely defeated Christian Byzantium in 613-14. In fact, Byzantium had suffered such heavy losses that it seemed impossible for it even to survive, let alone be victorious again. Following their defeat of the Byzantines at Antioch in 613, the Persians seized control of Damascus, Cilicia, Tarsus, Armenia, and Jerusalem. The loss of Jerusalem in 614 was particularly traumatic for the Byzantines, for the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was destroyed and the Persians seized the "True Cross," the symbol of Christianity.174 In addition, the Avars, Slavs, and Lombards also were posing serious threats to the Byzantine Empire. The Avars had reached as far as the walls of Constantinople. Emperor Heraclius ordered the gold and silver in churches to be melted and turned into money in order to meet the army's expenses. When this proved insufficient, bronze statues were melted down in order to mint more money. Many governors had revolted against Heraclius, and Byzantium was on the point of collapse.175 Mesopotamia, Cilicia, Syria, Palestine, Egypt and Armenia, which had earlier belonged to Byzantium, were invaded by the idolatrous Persians.176

The Dead Sea basin where Byzantium was defeated by Persians. Above is a satellite photograph of the region. The Lake of Lut region, which is the lowest

region of the world, is 395 meter below the sea level.

In short, everyone was expecting Byzantium to be destroyed. But during this time, the first verses of Surat ar-Rum were revealed, announcing that Byzantium would triumph in 3 to 9 years. This predicted victory seemed so impossible that the Arab polytheists thought it would never come true.

Page 49: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

www.esnips.com/user/jam2000

Like all the other predictions in the Qur'an, however, this one also came true. In 622, Heraclius gained a number of victories over the Persians and conquered Armenia.177 In December 627, the two empires fought a decisive battle at Nineveh, some 50 kilometres east of the Tigris river, near Baghdad. This time too, the Byzantine army defeated the Persians. A few months later, the Persians had to sue for peace with Byzantium, which obliged them to return the territories they had taken from it.178

The Byzantine victory was completed when Emperor Heraclius defeated the Persian ruler Khosrow II in 630, recaptured Jerusalem, and regained the "True Cross" for the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.179 In the end, "the victory of the Romans" proclaimed by Allah in the Qur'an miraculously came true within the verses' stated "three to nine years" time frame.

Another miracle revealed in these verses is the announcement of a geographical fact that could not have been known by anyone at that time: that the Romans had been defeated in the lowest region of Earth. This Arabic expression adna al-Ard is interpreted as "a nearby place" in many translations. However, this is not the literal meaning, but rather a figurative interpretation. The word adna, derived from the word dani (low), means “the lowest”. The word ard means “the world.” Therefore, adna al-ard means "the lowest place on Earth."

Some interpreters of the Qur'an, considering the closeness of the region in question to the Arabs, prefer the "closest" meaning of the word. However, the actual meaning indicates a very important geological fact: The Dead Sea, one of the regions in

which the Byzantines were defeated in 613-14, is the lowest region on Earth.180

As stated earlier, for Christian Byzantium, the loss of the True Cross was the heaviest blow in that defeat in Jerusalem, located near the shores of the Dead Sea.

The Byzantines and the Persians actually fought at the Dead Sea basin, which is situated at the intersection point of the lands belonging to Syria, Palestine, and Jordan. At 399 meters below sea

On top a satellite photograph of the Dead Sea basin. The altitude

of the Dead Sea could only be determined with modern

measurement techniques. These measurements led to the

discovery that this region is the "lowest region on the Earth."

level, the Dead Sea is the "lowest" place on Earth's surface.181

However, as only modern measuring methods and equipment can prove this fact, it would have been impossible for anyone living at that time to realise this truth. Yet, the Qur'an states clearly that this region was the "lowest land" on Earth and thereby provides further evidence that it is the Word of Allah.

".....When we investigated the lowest part of the earth, we found that it was exactly the same spot that witnessed the battle in which the Romans were defeated. When we informed Professor Palmer about this, he contested saying that there were many other areas, which are lower than the one referred to in the Qur'anic verse. He gave examples and names of other areas in Europe and in the United States. We assured him that our information was verified and correct. He had with him a topographical globe that showed elevations and depressions. He said that it would be easy with that globe to ascertain which was the lowest spot on earth. He turned the globe with his hands and focused his sign on the area near Jerusalem. To his astonishment, there was a small arrow sticking out towards that area with words: "the lowest part on the face of the earth." Professor Palmer was quick to concede that our information was correct. He proceeded to speak, as you now see him with the globe, saying that this was actually the lowest part of the earth....."

Planet earth is indeed the best planet in our Solar System. It is the only planet that has water, life and Paradise-like Scenic Views. The others are dead planets with no life like that of earth's exists on them. See my notes about this below.

For more proofs, please visit: The Ozone layer is a protective ceiling to earth. So when Allah Almighty Said:

Noble Verse(s) 79:30-79:31

Yusuf Ali:

[079:030] And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse);

[079:031] He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture;

Arabic (from right to left):

ــد واالرض 79:30 ــك بعــــ ذلـــ ــا دحاهـــــــ

ومرعاها ماءها منها اخرج 79:31

It also means that Allah Almighty Made a protective ceiling or umbrella for the earth, which without it, NO WATER COULD POSSIBLY EXIST ON EARTH!

So based on all of these meanings, what do we find? We find that:

1- The earth is a moving object that was pushed or thrown by Allah Almighty into space.

Page 56: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

3/29/2009

www.answering-christianity.com 55

2- The earth is a qurs and indahhat and is dihdaaha, which means it is a round and a spherical object.

3- The earth has expanded, and from that expansion, all of the huge bodies of water that we have today from oceans, seas, lakes and rivers were extracted AND/OR FORMED from the earth with the aid of its protective atmosphere.

4- The earth is mad-hooha ( مدحوحا ), which is balanded and evened.

5- The earth is dihya, which means it is the best among its group. This is true since all of the planets in our solar system are pretty much similar to our moon. They are lifeless and have no life and no water in them. Earth, on the other hand, has (1) ample water, which is why it is called the BLUE PLANET, (2) ample life, and even (3) Paradise-like views and nature in places such as Hawaii, Alaska, the Carribeans, places in Europe, Asia, Africa etc...

6- The earth is also dahdah and dahdaah, which means it is round and compressed.

7- The earth has a protective umbrella and ceiling above it.

All of this perfectly fits our planet earth! And even if we just take the EXPANDED interpretation alone and leave out the rest, then Noble Verses 79:30-31 are still quite Miraculous because, indeed the waters that we have today all came to existence in such a large and massive quantity ONLY AFTER THE EARTH BEGAN TO EXPAND with of course the aid of our protective atmosphere; all working together.

Other Noble Verses that say the earth is moving and suspended in space:

• Allah Almighty also Said: "He causes the living to emerge from the dead, and brings the dead out of the living...(The Noble Quran, 30:19)"

Indeed, the earth:

1- Is running in space.

2- Is rotating around its own axle.

3- Has the means to create life and/or to have life fertilized and multipled in it.

Page 59: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

4- And it does CONTAIN its creatures and it does maintain their life and means of living for them.

5- Notice how in Noble Verse 77:26, it says:

اء 77:26 ا احي .The living and the dead واموات

Indeed, the earth is encompassing to both the dead and the living, and it does create the living and recreates the dead, all through Allah Almighty's Divine Will, Mercy, Design and Wisdom.

That is why I translated kifaata in Noble Verse 77:26 to: moving fast in space and is encompassing to all of its creatures and it has the ability to create and recreate. The word encompasses all of these meanings, and all of them PERFECTLY FIT the description of earth!

Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Now it is also mentioned in Lisan Al-Arab dictionary [1], Book 7, Page 456:

ام وف means :(al-qiyaam) القي ات و الوق which means standing and remaining الثبstill.

My simple response to this is the following:

Page 61: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

www.esnips.com/user/jam2000

1- Yes indeed, the planet earth is standing still according to our bodies and it is indeed balanced! Otherwise, we would all perish!

2- But however, since it was a known fact that the celestial bodies in Heaven such as the SUN, MOON, SHOOTING STARS and others were all moving bodies, then it is obviously safe to also accept this meaning about the earth also moving to apply to Noble Verse 30:25, especially when we already know that the earth was mentioned to be ROUND and WAS PUSHED and THROWN INTO SPACE, as I already thoroughly demonstrated earlier (above) in the word DAHAHA.

So it is safe to accept the word taqoom وم in Noble Verse 30:25 to mean both FIXED تقIN THEIR MOVING COURSES, and for the earth to be standing still AND BALANCED for the creatures that live on it for the following reasons:

1- The earth and heaven were mentioned together in the same Noble Verse.

2- We know that the Heaven is full of curvy and wavy orbits as I discussed in ARJOON AND MA'AARIJ earlier (above).

3- We know that the earth is round and is pushed and thrown in space by Allah Almighty as I discussed in DAHAHA earlier (above).

4- As to the earth being standing still, obviously, to us, it is standing still and it is BALANCED! Otherwise, we would all perish! More on this when we discuss the function of the mountains in the Noble Quran and how they prevent the earth from swaying while it is rotating around its own axle, in the Noble Quran.

(The following Noble Verse was suggested to me by brother Mahir Karaosmanovic, may Allah Almighty always be pleased with him)

Furthermore, we read in Noble Verse 55:10:

But however, Abdullah Yusuf Ali and all of the English translators of the Noble Quran that I've listed at http://www.quransearch.com/, with the exception of one, have translated the very same exact word, wadaa' وضع, as something that is moving , "hurrying to" , in the Noble Verse 9:47:

رع :wada'aa وضع .increased his speed أس

So as we clearly and indesputably see, وضع wada'aa clearly refers to an action. This action has to do with: (1) Carrying, (2) Speeding, and (3) Walking.

All of this perfectly fits our planet earth! Yes indeed, 55:10 واالرض عها ام وض It لالنis He Who has set the earth on a moving course for (His) creatures.

Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Noble Verse(s) 55:7

Arabic (from right to left):

ــماء 55:7 ــا والســــــــــ و رفعهـــــــ ــيزان وضـــع المـــــــــــ

Notice again how وضع wada'aa is referring to the balance of the orbital systems in the Universe. Here, this Noble Verse is referring to the gravitational balance that keeps the orbits of the Galaxies, their Solar Systems, their Planets and their Moon's in place, and not falling into a massive disarray and out of order and colliding with each others on a large and massive scale!

If we examine, for instance, our beautiful Solar System's orbital system and the balance of its planets and their moon's around our star, the sun, and around each others (the moons orbiting around their own planets), then we'll see the beautiful and powerful BALANCE that Allah Almighty has put to keep us SAFE! Otherwise, our moon would've probably been the first planet to collide with us. Notice again how وضع wada'aa here perfectly describes that balance in our MOVING UNIVERSE! So it's the Balance in the Moving Celestial Bodies' orbits, and in their Solar Systems' Orbits, and in their Galaxies' Orbits and so on.

[037:137] You still pass by their ruins by day.

Rodwell:

[037:137] And ye indeed pass by their ruined dwellings at morn

So why would Allah Almighty say that the mountains are moving like the clouds?

We know that the mountains look quite fixed. Not even earth quakes can move them from their places! So why would Allah Almighty say that they are passing like the passing of the clouds?

1- Because like in Dahaha دحاها and wadaAAha عها which both mean that the earth ,وضis moving on a fixed course, tamurru marra ر further supports this by saying that ,مر تمeven the heavy and fixed mountains that look idol and impossible to move, and indeed moving!

2- Like in Dahaha دحاها , where it means to expand, the expansion of the earth did indeed cause, and is still causing, for the mountains to move! Not only mountains, but ENTIRE CONTINENTS moving or drifting away from each others as the earth started to split when it expanded. Remember that the earth used to be one jigsaw puzzle and then started to expand.

Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Abdullah Yusuf Ali have translated مهادا mihaada to mean "a wide expanse". However, in the following Noble Verses, he translated the root word for مهادا mihaada to mean "cradle":

Yet, in other Noble Verses, he translated the same exact word as "like carpet spread out":

Noble Verse(s) 20:53

Yusuf Ali:

[020:053] "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others.

Is the bed here a rocking bed or a fixed one? The following pictures about the cosmos will clearly prove that the earth's axial tilt and rotation around the sun indeed resemble a rocking bed:

Let us now look at our planet earth's "Axial Tilt" that makes it look like a cradle:

So indeed, the earth being a مهاد (mihaad) does mean that it is like a rocking cradle, since its root, مهد (mahd), means just that.

THE QURAN ON MOUNTAINS:

A book entitled Earth is a basic reference textbook in many universities around the world. One of its two authors is Professor Emeritus Frank Press. He was the Science Advisor to former US President Jimmy Carter, and for 12 years was the President of the National Academy of Sciences, Washington, DC. His book says that mountains have underlying roots. [1] These roots are deeply embedded in the ground, thus, mountains have a shape like a peg (see figures 7, 8, and 9).

Figure 7: Mountains have deep roots under the surface of the ground. (Earth, Press and Siever, p. 413.)

Page 79: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

www.esnips.com/user/jam2000

Figure 8: Schematic section. The mountains, like pegs, have deep roots embedded in the ground. (Anatomy of the Earth, Cailleux, p. 220.)

Figure 9: Another illustration shows how the mountains are peg-like in shape, due to their deep roots. (Earth Science, Tarbuck and Lutgens, p. 158.)

This is how the Quran has described mountains. God has said in the Quran:

Have We not made the earth as a bed, and the mountains as pegs? (Quran, 78:6-7)

Modern earth sciences have proven that mountains have deep roots under the surface of the ground (see figure 9) and that these roots can reach several times their elevations above the surface of the ground. [2] So the most suitable word to describe mountains on the basis of this information is the word ‘peg,’ since most of a properly set peg is hidden under the surface of the ground. The history of science tells us that the theory of mountains having deep roots was introduced only in the latter half of the nineteenth century. [3]

Page 80: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

Mountains also play an important role in stabilizing the crust of the earth. [4] They hinder the shaking of the earth. God has said in the Quran:

And He has set firm mountains in the earth so that it would not shake with you... (Quran, 16:15)

Likewise, the modern theory of plate tectonics holds that mountains work as stabilizers for the earth. This knowledge about the role of mountains as stabilizers for the earth has just begun to be understood in the framework of plate tectonics since the late 1960’s. [5]

Could anyone during the time of the Prophet Muhammad have known of the true shape of mountains? Could anyone imagine that the solid massive mountain which he sees before him actually extends deep into the earth and has a root, as scientists assert? A large number of books of geology, when discussing mountains, only describe that part which is above the surface of the earth. This is because these books were not written by specialists in geology. However, modern geology has confirmed the truth of the Quranic verses.

Higher mountains are compensated by deeper roots. (6)

The Quran says:

“ Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse And the mountains As PEGS?”

[Al-Quran 78:6-7]

Pegs have deep roots under the surface of the ground like Mountains. Thus Quran gives the accurate example of Mountains.

My translation:

Second: The formation of milk from between FARTH and blood inside the cattle:

Milk is essentially formed from proteins, carbohydrates, fat, and many other elements, and vitamins and water. And all of this is extracted from the animal's nutrition (food), drink and blood, which this Noble Verse has described through Allah Almighty's Statement: "from between FARTH رث and blood." And the FARTH is the فsubstances that are eaten and are not completely digested in the gut, and because of that it (the farth) is sometimes also called the gut's load (food), and when it is extracted from the gut it is called ROUTH.

Article #1 (from wikipedia):

"The carbohydrate lactose gives milk its sweet taste and contributes about 40% of whole cow milk's calories. Lactose is a composite of two simple sugars, glucose and galactose. In nature, lactose is found only in milk and a small number of plants (McGee 17). Other components

found in raw cow milk are living white blood cells, mammary-gland cells, various bacteria, and a large number of active enzymes (McGee 16).

"White blood cells in Milk- Milk contains varying levels of white blood cells, depending upon the health of the source animals;....

"No study has ever conclusively demonstrated that the levels of white blood cells found in normal milk actually pose any health risk to normal individuals. The concept of pus in one's milk is somewhat reviling, but evidence for an impact on health is not existent....

"In addition, the cows frequently contract an udder infection known as mastitis, partly responsible for the aforementioned prevalence of blood cells in dairy products." (Source)

Article #2:

"Milk Biosynthesis Milk is synthesized in the mammary gland. Within the mammary gland is the milk producing unit, the alveolus. It contains a single layer of epithelial secretory cells surrounding a central storage area called the lumen, which is connected to a duct system. The secretory cells are, in turn, surrounded by a layer of myoepithelial cells and blood capillaries.

Udder, Alveolus, Secretory Cell: 26 KB

The raw materials for milk production are transported via the bloodstream to the secretory cells. It takes 400-800 L of blood to deliver components for 1 L of milk.

• Proteins: building blocks are amino acids in the blood. Casein micelles, or small aggregates thereof, may begin aggregation in Golgi vesicles within the secretory cell.

• Lipids: o C4-C14 fatty acids are synthesized in the cells o C16 and greater fatty acids are preformed as a result of rumen hydrogenation

and are transported directly in the blood • Lactose: milk is in osmotic equilibrium with the blood and is controlled by lactose, K,

Na, Cl; lactose synthesis regulates the volume of milk secreted

Page 85: Detailed meanings of the Scientific Words in the Scientific Verses in the Holy Quran using Lisan Al- Arab (The Arabs' (of old) Tongue) Dictionary and other similar dictionaries

www.esnips.com/user/jam2000

The milk components are synthesized within the cells, mainly by the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and its attached ribosomes. The energy for the ER is supplied by the mitochondria. The components are then passed along to the Golgi apparatus, which is responsible for their eventual movement out of the cell in the form of vesicles. Both vesicles containing aqueous non-fat components, as well as liquid droplets (synthesized by the ER) must pass through the cytoplasm and the apical plasma membrane to be deposited in the lumen. It is thought that the milk fat globule membrane is comprised of the apical plasma membrane of the secretory cell.

Milking stimuli, such as a sucking calf, a warm wash cloth, the regime of parlour etc., causes the release of a hormone called oxytocin. Oxytocin is relased from the pituitary gland, below the brain, to begin the process of milk let-down. As a result of this hormone stimulation, the muscles begin to compress the alveoli, causing a pressure in the udder known as letdown reflex, and the milk components stored in the lumen are released into the duct system. The milk is forced down into the teat cistern from which it is milked. The let-down reflex fades as the oxytocin is degraded, within 4-7 minutes. It is very difficult to milk after this time." • Note from me, Osama Abdallah: The Arabs 1,400 years ago were not scientific. They didn't know that a single sperm from man's semen going into the woman's egg forms the fetus. Yet as we see, Nutfa means exactly a single entity from among its group. This is obvious since Allah Almighty obviously didn't refer to the sperm as a gold-karat!

اج ة :(amshaaj) امش اء مختلط رأة بم mingled with the woman's semen and دمها و المblood.

Again, the Arabs had no knowledge about science. But however, as we've seen above, NUTFAH ة means one from among a group, like a single karat from among a نطفgroup of karats, and a single drop of water from a small amount of water. This is indisputable, and therefore, it is safe to say that when Allah Almighty said that He Created man from Nutfah, He meant a single sperm from the flowing semen.

Furthermore, Allah Almighty Said:

Noble Verse(s) 23:12-23:14

Yusuf Ali:

[023:012] Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay) a flowing liquid that is originally created from clay;

[023:013] Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed (that's the woman's egg);

[023:014] Then We made Created the sperm into a clot of congealed blood (that is a leech-like substance); then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be God, the best to create!

So when Allah Almighty Said:

ة من 53:46 نى اذا نطف تم

[075:037] Was he not a drop of fluid, emitted forth and is penetrating?

م 75:37 ك ال ة ي ني من نطف نى م يم

Allah Almighty Had Spoken a Divine Statement that is today in perfect agreement with Science! Indeed, the male's NUTFAH (sperm) strikes the female's egg with penetration. The NUTFAH is indeed a penetrating one that "strikes" and "cuts" through the egg to make fertilization. That is why Allah Allah Almighty in both Noble Verses, 53:45, 75:39, talked about the formation of both sexes: the male and the female, and said that it is the "penetrating," "striking," "cutting," (نى ة) NUTFAH (يم sperm) that ,نطفdetermines them.

We're already seen above that MANA (نى ,directly and literally means to strike, cut (مand penetrate.

According to Prof. Keith Moore these three veils of darkness in the QUR'AN refer to

1- Anterior abdominal wall of the mother.

2- The uterine wall.

3- The amnio-chorionoic membrane.

Also, in the field of Embryology, it is stated that the fetus goes through three distinct developmental stages in his mother's womb:

1- Pre-Embryonic, first 2 1/2 weeks.

2- Embryonic, until the end of the 8th week.

3- Fetal, from the 8th week to labor.

The Azhari said: THE NAASIYAH الناصـــــــــــــيه to the Arabs (of old) is the place where the hair grows on the beginning of the head (i.e., the forehead).

Figure 12: Functional regions of the left hemisphere of the cerebral cortex. The prefrontal area is located at the front of the cerebral cortex. (Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology, Seeley and others, p. 210.)

Why did the Quran describe the front of the head as being lying and sinful? Why didn’t the Quran say that the person was lying and sinful? What is the relationship between the front of the head and lying and sinfulness?

If we look into the skull at the front of the head, we will find the prefrontal area of the cerebrum (see figure 12). What does physiology tell us about the function of this area? A book entitled Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology says about this area, “The motivation and the foresight to plan and initiate movements occur in the anterior portion of the frontal lobes, the prefrontal area. This is a region of association cortex...” [1] Also the book says, “In relation to its involvement in motivation, the prefrontal area is also thought to be the functional center for aggression....” [2]

So, this area of the cerebrum is responsible for planning, motivating, and initiating good and sinful behavior and is responsible for the telling of lies and the speaking of truth. Thus, it is proper to describe the front of the head as lying and sinful when someone lies or commits a sin, as the Quran has said, “...A lying, sinful naseyah (front of the head)!”

Scientists have only discovered these functions of the prefrontal area in the last sixty years, according to Professor Keith L. Moore. [3]

6- So why didn't the early Muslims interpret the Holy Quran with these meanings then??

Well, the answer to this question is actually very simple. Were the early Muslims, whose the vast majority of them were illiterate Farmers, Sheppards and Bedouins, Scientists? How could they have possibly comprehended that, for instance, as you are standing on earth right now, you are actually not standing ON EARTH, but rather on the side of the earth, and that under your feet, on the opposite side of the world, there are people who are standing like you and opposite of you, and they are under you and you are under them? And yet, none of you just slips off or falls off into space. How could've that been comprehensible to them?

How could you possibly have convinced them of something like this? It's impossible! Heck, even until Christopher Columbus discovered the United States of America, only few centuries ago, the vast majority of the world still believed that the earth was flat. I personally strongly believe that even Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, may not fully understand what was really revealed to him from Science and Divine Miracles. Again, the choice of these Words is Miraculous indeed. Allah Almighty could've used more straight forward words with limited meanings. The sample Holy Verses above were simply Revealed for us today, to discover, and to ponder upon with amazement. As Allah Almighty clearly Said in the Holy Quran:

"We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and inside their selves, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things? (The Noble Quran, 41:53)"

From Jamshaid Zubairee:

Actually the answer is quite easy. See the example as you are an English man but it doesn’t mean that you can understand every book written in English even you may be able to read it. But you can never understand it unless you have knowledge of that field. (If it was the case then every American were a scientist & scholar). If you still don’t understand it then go to library and pick a professianl book of space sciences or genetic engineering and read…..

So the same was the case with Arabs. They could not understand everything written in Arabic.

Plus Holy Quran is NOT a text book of science and its pupose was NOT to make the Arabs make the scientists but basically it is a religious book that provides guidance for all problems of life (it does not deal with their techinal details, for that search hadith).

Scienticfic information is an aspect of revelation to Prophet Muhammad PBUH. If its purpose was to make the Arabs scieticts the then Ominipotent God almighty was able to do this also but He didn’t did this because it was NOT his aim.
