  • SUMMARY i)

The Detailed Vertical Gradient, Magnetometer Survey over the four (4) claims of The Misema Eight Group as required by The Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, for assessment work purposes, following the recommendations set forth in The Mining Act Regulations, 1991.

The report includes an introduction to the property, general geology, property history, and field data compiled on maps (back of report) and conclusions based from previous work and the new survey.

In May 1986, Perrons Inc. ran a magnetometer survey, and due to the advances in magnetometers, a Seientrex magnetome ter with the vertical gradient mode was run at fifty foot stations, to help define anomalous zones for a diamond drill program.

    INTRODUCTION

In October 1983, a north west baseline was established by Perrons Inc.

Due to the length of time, the 1983 grid system had to be returned at the *4 claim post of L-642535 and cut to the K claim post of L-642537. Picket lines were established every four hundred feet (400) and five stations were cut and established every fifty feet (50) along the picket lines.

The baseline is 3200 fee t and 14750 F t .of picket lines were cut.

The line cutting was performed by Miss Uendy K. Weller and Michael Burns in October 1994.

The detail gradiometer-magnetometer survey was performed by Uendy K. Weller.

The drafting was done by Mr. Michael Burns.

The contouring and report was written by Wendy K. Weller.

    PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Catharine Township. The property is approximately eighteen miles south/east from Kirkland Lake, fifteen miles down Highway 112 (from Kirkland Lake) to the village of Boston Creek, then three miles along Highway 564. (See Figure la and Ib).

    PREVIOUS WORK

Scattered old trenching can be found throughout the property. However no records of these trenches are available. In June 1981, Amax Minerals Exploration conducted a geological survey over claims L-664063 to L-664066 (inclusive).

In October 1983, an electromagnetic and magnetic survey was performed by Perrons Inc. (See Regional Files).

In November 1984, a geological survey was completed by Ms. Mary Mahood-Greer for Perrons Inc. (See Regional Files).

In May 1986, a revised geophysical survey was performed by Ms. Mary Mahood-Greer for Perrons Inc. (See Regional Files).

    GENERAL GEOLOGY

O.D.M. Geological Map 2043, covering Catharine and Martar townships (at a scale of one inch to one-half mile) indicates iThe Keewatin volcanic rocks, appear in a steep anticlenal belt around the eastern margin of the Round Lake pluton. The volcanic rocks were intruded first by ultrabasic to intermediate dikes and sills and, later, by the Round Lake pluton and by numerous small, acid to inter mediate and lamprophyric dikes*.

James A. Grant (1963) subdivided the Keewatin rocks into four stratigraphic divisions. The division that covers the area of this report indicates ^Porphyritic and aphantic, intermediate to acid volcanic rocks, largely pyroclastic and agglomerate*. (See Figure le - Geological Report No. 18).

    TOPOGRAPHY

The general terrain of the property varies from jack pine covered sand ridges to gentle sloping poplar, spruce areas. A slow moving creek passes through the center of the claim group. The Misema River runs along the south boundary of claims L-642538 and L-642537. The difference in elevation averages 75 feet.

1994 - DETAIL VERTICAL GRADIENT, MAGNETOMETER SURVEY

In October, 1994, a Geotechnical Survey (gradiometer, magne tometer) was carried out. The report is written by Miss Uendy K. Weller.

The 1994 survey carried out on a east/west grid was cut by Aljon Exploration Inc, (Wendy K. Heller, Michael Burns) for a total of 2.79miles of grid lines and .60 miles of baseline. The grid lines spacing was every four hundred feet (400) and fifty feet (50) stations were cut, measured and read by Hendy K. Heller.

    DETAIL VERTICAL GRADIENT SURVEY

A Scintrex Proton Precision Magnetometer with the vertical gradient function was used with a constant reading base station. The vertical gradient readings were processed and contoured from 0-100 units. The vertical gradient is the magnetic value after all horizontal influences have been removed (by mathematical calculation at each station).

    MAGNETOMETER SURVEY 94

The magnetic relief varied between 57,323 and 57,902 gammas.

The magnetic trend is in a north east direction. In the 1983 (Perrons 83 Limited Property) Geophysical Survey Report by M. Greer. Conductor 84-1 (electromagnetic survey) shows an anomalie that is close to surface.

In this survey a long north/east linear (low magnetic) anoma lie on the north side of 84-A and a high magnetic anomalie to the south. This anomalie follows the side of a very gentle sloping spruce and jack- pine ridge. On the 1994 survey, the linear anomalie crosses PL16E, PL20E and PL24E. This could represent a shear zone or fault..

There is a second low linear anomalie that crosses PL16E and PL20E (1+50A and 2+50S). Between the two low magnetic systems is a magnetic high anomalie.

The highest magnetic anomalie is at the north end of PL20E 13+OON to 16+OON. This circular magnetic high could possibly be a kimberlite pipe.

    DETAIL VERTICAL GRADIENT SURVEY

The field data is presented on a map at a horizontal scale of one inch to four hundred feet, Map No. Ivg.

The gradiometer variation is low ranging in all four claims. Ranging from -375 to +136. Along the north and south sides of the baseline in L-642535 there are a series of lows.

The low values is probably due to small variations in the susceptibility of the bedrock. The magnetic trend appears tp be north/east.

  • -4-

    CONCLUSION

Comparing the results from this survey and the 1983 Perrons Inc. Survey, (Electromagnetic) shows two strong low magnetic anomalies and one high anomalle that need further Investigation.

To help define the two low linear structure anomalies, a vertical loop EN unit should be run to further clarify their origins.

A trenching and stripping program Is being looked at presently.
