After the success of the first edition of Destination Punjab held in Amritsar, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with the Punjab government organized the second edition of Destination Punjab from November to 4 in the state’s industrial capital , Ludhiana. The event was an extension of CII theme for Punjab - Punjab going global - the sustainable way .

Destination Punjab showcased the state’s industrial strengths, especially in the areas of engineering, light and heavy electrical, apparel and textiles, electronics systems and components, tools and hardware and general supplies,. New trends such as outsourcing of engineering services provides newer opportunities for growth as Punjab is fast emerging as a hub for the engineering industry, strongly supported by industrial centers like Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Mandi Gobindgarh. The exhibition aimed at providing a platform for industrial players to explore Punjab’s limitless engineering opportunities.

Exhibition had a fair response, many were keen to understand what is basic difference between Galvanized Plain and Galvanized Plain Skin Passed., and what kind of applications it have.

Well esteemed and youngest finance minister of Punjab, Sardar Parminder Singh Dhindsa was a Chief Guest for the conference of substance, an Automation and Fool Proofing agenda where a Report by Valcon Management Consultants regarding Engineering Industry in Punjab was unveiled.

Galvano, took a firm platform in this fair to showcase its implication capabilities and educate its presence by a representation from Mr. Vinay Sharma, a corporate communicator. Mister Minister took a keen interest in understanding every aspect of participant’s presence.

Every such fair is an Industrial revolution in itself for it generates not only business leads but also gives best stage for knowledge sharing and further scope to empower and power the well responding ideas. Every initiative takes its due course of time to get acknowledged and Destination Punjab too is in the process of same. Considering this, the response was understandable.

Different people have different outlook for given situations , most felt that the joint exhibition with Ludhiana Consumer Fair was inappropriate, we found it as a bonus to our brand building. Destination Punjab had around 3000 footfall and Ludhiana Fair had more than 12000 as such. Being rightly positioned and having very first doom, we were visited by almost every walk-ins.

Good Things Take Time, so will Destination Punjab too. Destination Punjab, a concept which has been dreamed to become a living reality by CII, conveys a lot about the prevailing policies regarding industries in Punjab as otherwise why would anyone like to locate Destination Punjab in Punjab ? CII organized this fair with an intention to develop Punjab as Intellectual and Industrial Hub, to give a platform where knowledge sharing can empower ideas and policies. It was a very intelligent decision to welcome Valcon Management Consultants who developed a report to with most comprehensive SWOT for strategy, customers & markets, management, systems, processes, technology, performance, innovation and business environment in Punjab. It is indeed a very relevant report and needs a very strong willpower as well as an appetite to go through. Perhaps a too early step but indeed most essential too since it reflects mirror image of the state policies and its after effects. This year was second edition of Destination Punjab Exposition. Miles to go but indeed a good start.

Mangla Sons, too joined hands with CII to walk together in this cause and avail this opportunity with obligement and approbation, though we got no business leads but indeed there was no dearth of effort and shall keep participating in every occurrence which shall be held on Healthy Industrial level.
