and his family.In a legalnoticedatedJune 8 to TataMotors, Sawanthas alsothreatenedlegal actions in



casethe automajor fails toact within twoweeks from theissue date of theletter.Sawant¶s Nano caught



fire on theEasternExpressHighway justone-and-a-half hours after thedelivery. Theowner was



later told byTata Motorsthat hehadbeen givena ³pre-production or demo´ car.Sawant spent



Rs 2.4 lakh for thecar.³If you(Tata Motors)fail to act uponwithin a periodof two weeksfrom thedate of this letter, we



will be free totake theappropriatecourse of actionor approachthe appropriateauthority for the



same,´ readsthe noticeSawant senttothecompany.Though the deadlinehas beenpassed, Tata



Motors is yet toact.Itsspokesperson told FE in anemailresponse, ³Thecompany hasreceived a



legalnoticefrom Sawant,and is in theprocess of replying it.Sawant hasalreadyreceived the full refund
