BASIC DESIGN GUIDELINES:

All artwork must be in vector format (.ai, .eps, or in some cases, .pdf), for working purpos-es. Please note that the images need to be created as vector graphics, you cannot simply “save as” a .jpg to make it an .ai file. It does not work that way. If you are not familiar with the difference between vector and raster images, see the examples below. A raster im-age is made up of pixels, like a photograph. This is not something that can be achieved by embroidery. We need the images to be solid shapes and solid lines. This is where a vector comes in. Vector graphics are mathematically based, and can be digitized for embroider-ing. This also allows for proper editing and scaling, as raster images are what are referred to as “flat” images and cannot be edited easily. However, if sending .ai or .eps files, please also include a .jpg, .png, .pdf version for viewing purposes (.ai and .eps files can only be opened in graphics programs and our sales team will need to view the files).

Just as we cannot embroider raster images, we cannot embroider transparency or gradi-ents, so please avoid using these graphic styles in designs.

In addition to being vector graphics, line work or simple shapes are preferred. While we can do some amount of solid shapes, the thickness of the embroidery and the amount both affect the perfor-mance of the container.

If you are using a pattern, the larger the pattern is scaled, the better for produc-tion and performance of the container

*See example; the larger version is easierto sew and will have less adverse affecton the container’s flaps.Preferred

All embroidery has a felt backing, so take that into consideration in regards to the functionality of the flap. If you are placing something that is really thick embroidery, put it on things like the mudflaps or reserve pin cover, as opposed to flaps that will be folded or bent. The added thickness of the embroi-dery + the felt make the flaps stiff and difficult to manipulate.

For example, the container to the right had such a high amount of embroidery that the container need-ed to be broken in before what would normally be an appropriately sized canopy could be packed into it. For designs with large amounts of embroidery, we suggest that the customer upsize their container to ensure comfortable fit of canopies.

If you have an image that you would like made into a vector graphic, or something you would like made into a design that can be embroidered, let us know and we can pair you with a graphic designer that can help you with your design (for a design fee).

No embroidery on reserve side flaps (this is for safety reasons), and no custom designs on the yoke (text is ok).

JC STITCHING - JC stitching is the random zig zag stitch pattern you see sewn on some Vectors. JC stitching is random every time, and will not follow a pattern - Customer must understand that the lines shown on a mockup may not match what the production output actually is.

JC stitching is only allowed on certain panels. See below (red XX is the ‘no go’ zone)

Both JC stitching and contrast stitching use E thread. E thread is only available in the fol-lowing colors: Teal, Orange, Red, Burgundy, Silver, White, Tan, Brown, Yellow, Gold, Royal, blue, Purple, Light blue, Smoke, Olive drab green, Kelly green, Black
