Gauge: 20 sts x 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) blocked, in Stockinette Stitch Abbreviations: CO = Cast On BO = Bind Off K = Knit P = Purl YO = Yarn Over AYO = Afterthought YO (see Special Stitches) St(s) = Stitch(es) Inc = increase(d) K2tog = Knit 2 stitches together Pw = purlwise Sl = slip Ssk = slip two stitches separately knitwise, knit the two stitches together through the back loop Sk2p = slip one stitch knitwise, k2tog, pass slipped stitch over Tbl = through back loop [ ] = work the instructions between the [ ] the specified number of times Special Stitches: Afterthought YO (AYO): Directions: Knit into the bar between the stitch on the left needle and the stitch on the right needle by inserting the right needle from front to back under the bar.
