Term "semiology" (from Greek semeion "sign", and logoes " speech, knowledge ") was proposed by Ferdinand de Saussure (Courts of general linguistics), and the discipline that it indicates defines as studying " the life of signs within the social life ".
Semiotics, or semiology, is the study of signs, symbols, and signification.
