Design Project 01
East-Western Concert HallYale School of Architecture. Spring 2009[Published in Yale Retrospecta 09-10, Exhibited Yale Digital Media Show 10-11]Instructors. Frank Gehry with Trattie DaviesProject Involvement. Individual ProjectProgram. Concert Hall and Music SchoolLocation. Istanbul, Turkey
Description
In 1999, the renewed Israeli musician, Daniel Barenboim, and the in-fluential Palestinian intellectual, Edward Said, created the east-western divan orchestra, an ensemble that joins Israeli and Arab musician in an attempt to produce dialogue between these conflicting nations.
This design proposes a new home for this orchestra and attempts to express in architectural form the fundamental idea of its founders: that music is the union of individual and sometimes opposing voices to pro-duce harmony.
The main lines of this project traverses the long site in a rhythmical movement that shapes the building and encloses the main space of the concert hall.

Design Project 02
Detourning VeneziaYale School of Architecture. Fall 2009Instructors. Peter Eisenman with WangProject Involvement. Collaborative Project with A VittadiniProgram. Gate for VeniceLocation. Venice, Italy
Description
‘Detourning Venezia’ creates a new arrival point for Venice, as a mirror of the 16th century proposal for San Marco’s Basin by Alvise Cornaro.
This project is a symbolic entry, a transition space that contains qualities both of mainland Veneto and Venice, an in-between condition that over-lays departure and destination.
Inverting the monumentality of Cornaro’s project, this new gate is a landscape field that integrates the currently discontinuous modes of ar-rival to the island. Through an abstract grid of paths and hills, the proj-ect explores the polarities: ‘multiplicity - singularity’, and ‘field condition - objectness‘.

Design Project 03
The Third ArmYale School of Architecture. Spring 2009Instructors. Greg Lynn with Brennan BuckProject Involvement. Individual ProjectProgram. Reading RoomLocation. Piazza San Pietro, Vatican City
Description
This project proposes a reinterpretation of ‘il Terzo Braccio’, the unbuilt structure that closed piazza San Pietro in Bernini’s original proposal.
The building, containing the new reading room for the Vatican Library, is designed as an optical device that establishes specific effects of trans-parency and opacity:
A. From the Rome side, the building blocks the axial view of the basilica during the approach through Via della Conciliazione and enforces an oblique access to the piazza.
B. From San Pietro’s side, the building aligns with the two focuses of the oval piazza. Standing in each of these points, the building blends the transparency of one arm into the opacity of the opposite arm. A smooth transition ties the lines of the cornice and the plinth in one side to the opaque colonnade of the other side.

Fractures. Art SchoolYale School of Architecture. Fall 2008[Nominated for the Feldman Prize 08-09, published in Yale Retrospecta 08-09, Exhibited at Yale Digital Media Show 08-09]Instructors. Fred Koetter and Ed MitchellProject Involvement. Individual ProjectProgram. School for the Performing ArtsLocation. Boston, MA, USA
Description
As an alternative to the traditional school organization of linear corridors between anonymous rooms, this project introduces a dynamic interior landscape that inspires the students to exchange their ideas outside the classroom. As in urban systems, the space for interaction and circulation is the negative space, the cracks between the private functions of the school.
Two different material systems organize the building: facing the exte-rior, a set of massive blocks encloses the classrooms; in the heart of the building, an arrangement of folded planes contains the performing spac-es. As these planes ascend, they cantilever and shelter the cracks where the students interact.

Design Project 05
House in San FernandoUniversity of Buenos Aires, 2002Project Involvement. Individual ProjectProgram. Individual HouseLocation. San Fernando, Argentina
Description
Located in a wooded area with views to the San Fernando Canal, this house is conceived as a singular folded concrete plane that interacts with the landscape by framing views, circulation and exterior spaces.
The program distribution reverses the traditional organization: public areas on the second floor take advantage of the long views while private zones in the first floor enjoys the contact with the ground.

Design Project 06
School of PsychologyCompetition, 2006Project Involvement. Collaborative Project with R Bogani, G Encabo, F Papandrea.Program. School of Psychology. University of Buenos Aires.Location. Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Description
The organization of this graduate school is developed as an interaction of four systems:
Topography: Existing landscape becomes part of the building, which ex-pands nature through the plethora of interior courtyards.
Envelope: The project's expression is defined by gradual variations in materiality, texture and programmatic rhythm.
Structure: The support system transitions from the existing rigid grid of bases and columns to a new system with no fixed points.
Circulation: Stairs, ramps and vertical passages allow different circula-tion modes and speeds.

Design Project 07
Local Dynamics. Transit HubCompetition, 2005Project Involvement. Collaborative Project with F PapandreaProgram. Bus Terminal and Urban ParkLocation. Tucuman, Argentina
Description
This project for a transit hub in a remote town in Argentina develops a low-technological structural prototype in wood and a metallic skin system that take advantage of affordable local techniques. The design process starts as a homogeneous array of this prototype, which is then affected by site conditions, orientation, program requirements and cir-culation fluxes.
The final effect is a blended topography and variable envelope that re-sults in a dynamic space plenty with natural light and ventilation.

Project Description
‘Buenos Aires Northern Riverfront Integration’
The current interaction between Buenos Aires and the Rio de la Plata river is severely interrupted by the existence of highways and large service com-plexes.
This project aims to establish alternative connections with the river through a series of street-parks. It performs a dual approach: injecting city life into the river shore, and expanding the recreational activities of the river inside the city.

House in CariloIndependent Project, 2010Program. Second House.Location. Carilo, Argentina.Status. Design Development in progress.
Description
Located in a dense forest, this house creates a series of terraces and pa-tios that integrates the domestic spaces to the surrounding nature. The design maps and preserves all the existing trees, resulting in an irregular and dynamic geometry.

Minimotos Prototypical StoreIndependent Project, 2005-2006Program. Store Image, Mini-Motorcycle Exhibition and Sale.Location. Buenos Aires, Pilar and Cordoba, Argentina.Status. Completed.
Description
Minimotos Argentina required a strong image for its stores. Glossy con-tinuous surfaces with variable heights and steeps serve as exhibitors counter, storage and other functions. The project morphology is gener-ated as a progression of extruded polylines with variable offset widths.
This prototypical image and basic generative rules were applied in three specific stores (Buenos Aires, Cordoba and Pilar).

Terrero LoftIndependent Project, 2004 (in collaboration with S Zattara).Program. Loft for a Young Couple.Location. Buenos Aires, Argentina.Status. Completed.
Description
This house for a young couple fits tightly at the back sector of an edified lot. The limited exterior perimeter, a central problem in this project, was solved with skylights and important glazing in the only facade of the house.
The low budget defined an expressive materiality: exposed concrete, industrial metallic stairs and handrails and inexpensive wood panels. The house design is expandable, anticipating future familiar growth.
