Concept

My objective is to promote quality to “generation internet” food and cooking. If you grow and dry your own herbs, you will always have a fresh, inexpensive supply close at hand for making delicious foods. For someone on a salt-free diet, herbs can enhance the flavor of otherwise tasteless foods. And nowadays health is a very important issue, to everyone, more than ever before.

Consumers need

Here I carried out a research that involved a lot of the consumers eating habits. Most of the “generation internet” subsists on eating unhealthy foods, because they are easier to prepare and don´t take a lot of their precious time. Some of the more concerned consumers eat a lot of salads and soups, so they can, in a way or another, control their weight, and conserve some healthy habits. They often recur to condiments from market places to spice their healthy recipes. Most of these condiments are processed chemically and are very expensive.

The Solution

In my view, I think that if people took an interest in having a little herb garden in their kitchen, with herbs and spices, and then had a way to process/dry these condiments without recurring to chemicals or abrasive methods, they might find it more easy and fun to consume healthy food as they are part of the process.

Air 2_Dry 2

To solve this equation I developed a dryer that processes the condiments only with the motion of dry air, and doesn’t require any kind of chemical in the process. This equipment is design to dry the condiments in a fast, clean and organized way. It has a thermometer to control the temperature, a humidity controller that supervises the state o the process, and an alarm system that tells when the process is complete.
