BackgroundBackground
2010 JFE STEEL had introduced S460M TMCP STEEL PLATES
into asian market.
2011 ~~~~ JFE STEEL had started supplying sample plates of S460M
and collecting weld joint data.
2012 ~~~~ JFE STEEL had started supplying S460M
for the building projects.
Advantages of S460M TMCP Steel Plates
•High yield strength & toughness
•Short lead time
•Good Weldability
•S460M TMCP Steel is low-alloyed metal

・S460M can be handled in the same manner w/ S355.・Please refer clause 6.4 & 6.9 in EN 1090-2
for the detailed directions.
・S460M shall be welded w/ different welding consumables & welding conditions than conventional steels.・S460M requires more stringent quality assurance program.・The major points are presented in this brochure.
・S460M can be handled in the same manner w/ S355except hot-forming, which is not allowed for S460M.・Please refer clause 6.5 in EN 1090-2 for the detailed directions.
