Typeless type: snl Zapf Dingbats used in place of conventional type to express months of the year.

24 point Helvetica Neue LT Std Light (45) describes months in a more conventional manner. Month and day name and 2014 are additional typographic elements.

12 and 36 point Light and Heavy (85) plus 24 point Heavy type are added to the above. How can having a broader array of sizes and weights enhance the meaning of the information and make the composition sparkle.

This calendar serves to illusrate a historical event in history. It represents the bithday of a very dear friend of M.M. Griffith, who is no longer with us.

Full size 11” x 17” poster designed to announce an exihbition.

Three letters—KLM—brought together from existing letterforms to form a new, more epressive representation of Royal Dutch Airlines.
