Dear Sir/Madam:
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has information indicating that the United States Department .o! The Proposed Plan describes the Site, EPA's preferred remedy, and the ways in which the DOD and the interested public may participate in the remedy selection process.
EPA encourages the DOD to remain fully aware of the proposed cleanup activities at the Site. In particular, we encourage the DOD to review the Proposed Plan and the Administrative Record for the Site, and to comment on these documents during the ongoing public comment period. Note that the public comment period has been extended from July 30,· 1992 to August 31, 1992.
Thank you for your attention to this very important matter.
Sincerely,
