Welcome

Marketing & CommunicationsDerby LIVE

We’ve got another packed season of children’s entertainment on offer at Derby LIVE this summer,so whether you’re bringing a child for their first theatre experience, or they’re already little seasoned theatre-goers, there are plenty of opportunities to create some enchanting memories.

This season we’ll be welcoming back Scotland’s favourite children’s entertainers, The Singing Kettle; watching open-mouthed as the Shaolin Warriors perform death-defying stunts before oureyes; and wishing we had the skating skills of the amazing Russian Ice Stars, who tell the story ofthe boy who never grew up in Peter Pan On Ice.

The summer holidays are already kids’ favourite time of year, but we’re adding another reason forthem to look forward to it - in the form of family favourite Shaun the Sheep’s first adventure onstage: Shaun’s Big Show!

Just in case that wasn’t enough to get the kids excitedly jumping up and down, we’ve justannouced this year’s Christmas shows - Roald Dahl’s The BFG, and panto adventure Dick Whittington. Christmas might feel a long way off, but it’s never too early to book, especially when we’re offering Early Bird ticket prices to make the family festive treat more affordable.

I hope you and your family have a fun, theatre-filled summer!

A visit to the theatre, sitting next to dad,Some of it was scary, so I clung on like mad.Ice cream at the interval, all around my face,I was saving it for later, mum, get off my case! When all the fun was over, and the bows had all been taken,I just can’t wait to come again, now I’m a theatre patron!
