Your Doctor Meet Tanya. Tanya loves being in a role where she can make a difference to the lives of her patients and their human family members. After having received her degree in veterinary medicine at Tufts University in 2004, Tanya went on to complete a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Angel Memo- rial Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. Then a residency in small animal internal medicine at Tufts, followed by her recognition as a board certified internal medicine specialist in 2008. Besides having worked as a clinical professor at Auburn University, Tanya frequently lectures at national and international conferences as well as providing continu- ing education lectures on a variety of topics to local veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Her clinical research projects have focused on endocrine diseases, including diabetes and hyperadre- nocorticism. She has also published several articles in veterinary journals. Tanya lives with her husband, their two dogs and cat. In her spare time you can find her cooking up a storm, going on neighborhood walks with her dogs or playing board games with her husband.
