Deposit“OH YEAH ! ! ! I’ve got MONEY,

MONEY, MONEY!

I’m going to deposit it in the bank for safe keeping!

Depositing money is when we ADD money to our bank account.

This keeps our money safe so we don’t lose it! No worries, we can withdraw it whenever we want! Well, when the bank is open at least!

Situation

Johnny has $22 in cash. He also has a $30 paycheck. On his deposit slip he puts $10 in the less cash section.

$22 CASH$30 PAYCHECK

Why would he take $10 out in cash when he is depositing $22 in cash?????? He should take$10 out of the $22 he already has BEFORE

depositing any money.

Net Deposit“Ok. My paycheck is $30, BUT

of that $30 I want $10 to keep in my wallet. The $10 is

where I write less cash.

$30 - $10 = $20

$20 is his NET DEPOSIT!
