Remember what normal principal parts stand for

1st- 1st person present active 2nd- active infinitive 3rd- 1st person perfect active 4th – perfect passive participle

Amo- 1st person present- I love Amare- infinitive- to love Amavi- 1st person perfect- I have loved Amatus- perfect passive participle-

having been loved

A: Because it’s the 1st person passive not the 1st person active.

A: Because it’s the passive infinitive, not the active infinitive

A: Because it’s the perfect passive form which forms by taking the 4th pp and adding sum, es, est…..
