Hemachandra Reddy, Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education(APSCHE), Dr. M. Mohan Babu, Hon’ble Chairman, Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust and other distinguished invitees. Dr. L. Venugopal Reddy, Advisor cum Director, SVET, speaking on the occasion said that the students should be aware of the changes taking place in the society besides academics. They should also take equal interest in sports and extra-curricular activities for all-round development of their personality. Dr. M. Mohan Babu, Hon’ble Chairman, SVET while addressing the students stressed the importance of discipline and advised them to make use of the resources available in the Institution for their holistic development. The Hon’ble Chief Guest, Dr. K. Hemachandra Reddy, Chairman, APSCHE, while addressing the gathering accentuated several factors influencing the student personality and pragmatic thinking. He remembered the firm bond with the institution and memorized some of the past enduring moments. Further, he added that students are fortunate to be a part of the institution, highlighting its infrastructural aspects. He emphasized the importance of ambition, envision, excellence and clarity referring ancient Vedic texts, and Upanishads. In specific, he quoted a few points from one of such texts regarding “how a student under goes the teaching and learning process through four vital channels and quenches his/her thirst of knowledge”. Accordingly, he gave different themes on utilization of library resources, peer learning through various analogies and metaphors. The presence of Prof. T. Gopala Rao, Honorable Director Emeritus, SVET; Directors, Principals, Deans and Heads of department of SVET Institutions; faculty members and scores of students brought dignity and festive atmosphere to the celebrations which were further enriched by cultural events by the students. Welcome speech was given by the Convener of the programme Dr. T. Hariprasad. The Convener, Co-Conveners Dr. M.Ravichand and Dr. M. Sudheer Babu, and all the Coordinators and Members of the committees were applauded for organizing the programme effectively. The programme ended up with a vote of thanks by the First Year Students.

Fresher’s Day – 2019 of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College was celebrated on 1st
