TYPICAL PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
• Required (core) module(s) • Optional modules • 12,000-word dissertation (due late
August)
• Two terms (semesters): Sep-Dec & Jan-Mar
• Exam periods: January and April/May
OPTIONAL MODULES• Over 50 options modules covering a
wide variety of topics, for example: Complex Political Emergencies, Health and Security, Open Source Intelligence, Seapower and National Strategy, The Occupied Territories Since 1967.
• List of available modules will be finalised in August.

MA SCHOLARSHIPS• The Department of War Studies offers
prospective students a unique scholarship to support their MA studiesin History of War programme.
• The WCB scholarship is worth £2000 and will be awarded on the basis of academic record and potential, though the financial need of the applicant will also be considered. The subject area is open, but preference may be given to students intending to write a dissertation on medieval English history.
• The Alexandros Petersen Scholarship for MA in Conflict, Security and Development.
