Over 19,574 records which continue to provide ample researchmaterial for injury related studies.

2. The Intracranial Tumour Registry

Based in the Section of Surgery’s Research Office is constituted ofover 984 patient records, utilising the software CNExT. This projectis a collaborative effort between the UHWI Neurosurgery Service inthe Section of Surgery and the Sections of Radiology and Histopathology,UHWI Mona. Its aim is to create a radio-clinico-pathological databaseof intracranial tumours.

3. The Colorectal Cancer Registry

This registry maintains a data base on all cases of colorectal cancersourced from major health facilities across Jamaica. To date over1,194 cases have been recorded since its inception in January 2011.This data allows for evidence-based research in the diagnosis andtreatment of colon cancer.
