1. INTRODUCTION

Prasuti Tantra and Streeroga are a speciality that focuses on

women’s health. As the name suggests it has two classification

where prasuti tantra deals with complete knowledge of pre

conceptional care, different phases of pregnancy and birth to beget

a healthy progeny. the unique ayurvedic pre-natal, natal and post-

natal aim for safe delivery along with a healthy mother and child.

Streeroga deals with diagnosis, investigation and ayurvedic

management of all gynaecological disorders including infertility.

MISSION:

• Provide a complete academic and practical knowledge of

Ayurveda and contemporary science in the field of prasuti tantra

(gynaecology) and streeroga (obstetrics).

• Educate the civilization to practice ayurvedic concepts for

attaining healthy progeny.

3. ACADEMIC FACILITIES:

All the potential necessities to provide a complete theoretical and practical

knowledge for the students is provided by the department.

• Department has a fully equipped library with all the relevant and

resent books

• A museum with models, charts and instruments which is used for

training in the undergraduates.

• Conducts field visits to major hospitals providing more exposure to

the complimentary science

• Encourage to participate in medical camps conducted by the

institution.

4. EXTRA TRAINING PROGRAMME

Department also indulges in providing extra training to achieve its mision

• Theory and practical training for CCCH/ Ayushman Bharat Students

• Training program conducted in PHC on Garbha sanskar.

5. FACILITIES FOR PUBLIC

Educating the public by spreading awareness about woman and child

health is the need of the hour thus the department also works towards

it.

• Awareness programs conducted under NSS programs

• Have taken part in various medical camps conduced by the

institution in various parts of Valsad district which mainly

focused in rural areas.

6. PATIENT SERVICES

a. Outpatient department

• A fully fledged OPD with all the facilities for

examination is available every day from Monday to

Saturday from 9am -12pm and from 2pm to 5pm.

• All the gynaecological problems are managed

especially infertility and PCOS

b. In-patient department

• All the panchakarma and local treatment specially done

in gynaecological condition is practised according to

the abnormality

• A comfortable stay is provided with the facilities for the

admitted patients including food

• The medicines for the treatment is available inside the

hospital dispensary.

• Special ayurvedic therapy is conducted for mothers

who have newly delivered for replenishing and

rejuvenation.

c. Procedure room

• A well-equipped procedure room is present where all

the special procedures done for gynaecological as well

as obstetrical condition is performed with at most care

by the skilled staff of the department including

uttaravasti.

d. Labour theatre

• A full-fledged labour theatre is also available in the

hospital.
