The CRC Branch also maintains a CRC program subscription list of approximately 3,000 individuals. The names and email addresses of subscribers are collected for the purpose of emailing regular updates about the CRC Program. New subscribers are added and deleted on request. In addition, the area maintains a collection of electronic and hard copy files relating to the members of the CRC committee. The files include information on the period of each committee member’s term, conflict of interest statements and their remuneration for attending committee meetings and other CRC-related activities. The Holders Of Public Office (HOPO) database currently stores approximately 130 entries. HOPO system manages the activities of current and past CRC committee members, CRC appraisal panel members and independent experts. It should not be assumed that all records described are kept in a common storage facility. Separate security arrangements will typically apply, depending on the sensitivity of the information. The purpose of these records is to maintain employment history and payroll and administrative information relating to all permanent, contract and temporary staff members and employees of an agency.
