Shram Sadhana Bombay Trust runs the COLLEGE of ENGI-

NEERING & TECHNOLOGY at Bambhori, Jalgaon, which is the one of

the important Industrial Town & District Headquarters of Ma-

harashtra state. College is awarded as Best Engineering College of

Maharashtra State by Engineering Education Foundation , Pune in

year 2008-09. The College has Ten full fledged Departments. The

Under Graduate programs in 7 courses are accredited by National

Board of Accreditation, AICTE, New Delhi for 5 years with effect

from 19/07/2008 vide letter number NBA/ACCR-414/2004. The col-

lege has been included in the list of colleges prepared under Section

GROUP DISCUSSION

Group Discussion on various current af-fairs was organized by department on 28th July 2012. GD plays a predominant role in campus selection process. It is useful to test firm yet flexible nature, good communication skills, quick decision making sound reasoning abilities and good leadership qualities of student. GD was arranged for Second, Third and Final year students. There was an active partici-pation of students. Ms. Richa Modiyani, Faculty MBA Dept. of our college & Mr. N. P. Jagtap, As-sist. Prof IT Department acted as judge for this event. The GD was coordinated by ITESA incharge Mr. S. J. Patil, & Coordinators Mrs. S.S. Pinjari and Ms. T. S. Joshi. Teacher’s Day Celebration

Teacher’s Day Celebration was or-ganized by students for staff on 5th Sept, 2012. Speeches were given by some of the students on the work of Dr. Sarva-palli Radhakrishnan for the country as well as for the society , and some read poems on the teachers.

Poster Competition was conducted for SE, TE & BE students on the occasion of Engi-neer’s Day in the Department on 15th Septem-ber 2012. The theme for poster competition was “Tomorrow’s India”. This enables the stu-dents to demonstrate their skills & imagina-tion in the technical and non technical way. Parents were also invited for the poster com-petition . Dr. M. Hussain HOD of Civil Department was invited as a judge and this Event was con-ducted under ITESA. It was coordinated by ITESA incharge Mr. S. J. Patil and Coordinators Mrs. S. S. Pinjari & Ms. T. S. Joshi.

Engineer’s Day Celebration

Parents Meet was conducted on 15th Sep 2012 at Department level. The response was excellent. Mr. S. P. Shekhawat , DOA addressed the students & parents on this occasion. Mr. B. S. Kalsi was Coordinator for this activity. This was the platform provided to the parents to interact with the department and management . A short cultural activity was organized which consists of speeches, sing-ing, poems & drama. Mr. R. B. Sangore & Ms. A. D. Punjabi took them for a tour of the Department & Central amenities like Library, gymnasium, Hostels & Computer Center. Feedback from parents was taken.

Soft Skill Training was conducted for SE students from 30th Sept. 2012 to 2nd Oct. 2012 and for TE students from 3rd Oct. 2012 to 6th Oct. 2012 by Impressions Con-sulting, Mumbai. It was beneficial for stu-dents to improve their soft skill.

Synergy HR Training

Synergy HR Training was conducted by Synergy faculty in the dept. from 16th Aug. to 22nd Aug. 2012 for final year students and it was organized by T & P cell. The train-ing consists of Personal Interviews, GD & Communication Skills.

Guest Lectures

Our Alumina Mr. Sagar Marathe in-teracted with Final Year students on 11th Aug. 2012. He provided guidelines to the students to improve their carrier skill sets to secure a good position in the current cut throat competitions.

Mr. Vishal Ingle, Software Engineer, HSBC, GLT, Pune and Mr. Kunal Deshpande, Software Engineer, Tech Mahindra, Mumbai interacted with Final Year students on 20th October 2012. They shared their experience with students to help them to improve their carrier.

Workshop on “Advance Unix Programming” In the Department of Information Technology

a Workshop on “Advance Unix Programming” under

MOU (Memoranda of Understanding ) was organized

in the month of September on every Friday & Satur-

day for BE students, conducted by Mr. Ritesh Nikam,

Director, Soft aid Computers, Jalgaon.

This Workshop was organized with the view to

impart programming skill required for developing

network and system software also the team from

Softaid gave guidelines for developing their Major

projects.

This workshop was a vital to the student for

their Programming Knowledge in Unix Environment.

Mr. S. J. Patil and Faculty members of the Depart-

ment took heavy efforts for the workshop. The feed-

back of this workshop was excellent.

ITECH THIRST 2012

A State Level Competition “ITECH THIRST 2012” is organized by Department of Information Technology under ACM Student Chapter on 13th October 2012, around 2100 students were regis-tered for this program, students from various corners of state participated in the event . It consist of 6 events which were :-Google Whack, Race to destiny ,Poster Competition, LAN Gaming, C-Champ ,Blind Coding. Mrs. A. K. Bhavsar, HOD IT provided direction and motivation. Mr. S. P. Shekhawat, DOA and Prof. Dr. K. S. Wani, Principal provided guidelines to make this Event Successful. The Faculty and students of IT Department have given their best effort to make this event successful .This activity was coordinated by Mr. S. J. Patil & Mr. N. P. Jagtap. Event Coordinators for the various event were Mr. S. H. Rajput, Mr. R. B. Sangore, Mr. P. C. Harne, Mr. B. S. Kalsi, Ms. A. D. Punjabi, Ms. T. S. Joshi and Ms. S. S. Pinjari respectively.
