OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT
To provide Environmental Education , Awareness
and inculcate a sense of Responsibility towards
ecology & environment among one and all.
To spread mass awareness among various levels
of communities at local levels to improve ambient
environmental scenario .

No, at present there is no new course introduced
by the Department in this academic session.
We will plan to start M.Sc. in Environmental
Science & Technology as per demand of
Industrial/ Educational sectors from July, 2019
to enhance the better job opportunities for
students.

Department is conducting the AECC course in environmental
science for the all students of the university at UG level.

Point 24. Future plan for three years:
The Department shall continue its duty of imparting education
through its graduate, post-graduate and research programs.
We have planned to introduce job oriented / Industry oriented new
degree(M.Sc. in Environmental Science & Technology)
course.
It is also our future plan to publish high quality research journal
in the field of environment science.
Activities Conducted by the Department
Department has contributed at scientific level in National Movement "Nirmal Jan Ganga Abhiyan" organized by the AWGP, Shantikunj, Haridwar.
Annual celebration of the World Environment Day, World Wildlife
Week and other important events.
Quiz competition on International Ozone Day on the 16th September 2014. National Workshop on the topic entitled “Revitalization of River Ganga by Phytoremediation” Sponsored by USERC, Dehradun on 29 July, 2016.
Department organized National Symposium on the occasion of International Ozone Day on the theme of “CARING FOR ALL LIFE
UNDER THE SUN WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO OZONE LAYER” during 15-16, September, 2017.
