Dear Bonbeach Girls, An invitation will be coming out to you next week to participate in a (free) 30 minute workshop with a professional teacher from the Australian Girls Choir. The AGC has developed a reputation as one of the country’s leading performing arts organisations, offering training in singing, dancing and performing for girls aged 5 to 18. They have 5,500 girls participating in classes across Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. The rehearsal venues in Victoria are located at Berwick, Box Hill, Caulfield North, Cheltenham, Essendon, Ivanhoe, Kew, Ringwood and Yarraville. 'At the AGC we believe that every child can learn to sing, and that the benefits of singing go far beyond the stage. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive choir, and offer all girls a position in one of the training levels of the AGC. The 30 minute workshops are fun and non-competitive and give girls the opportunity to experience the sorts of activities we offer.' The date of the workshop will be Tuesday 29th August, 9:20-9:50. Miss Thomas will also be attending.

REMINDER

Tomorrow is Principal's Day. This is not a formal school event. It is an opportunity to recognise the valuable leadership at our school. This annual day provides a chance to recognise the tireless efforts of our Principal and Assistant Principal to make our school a vibrant and stimulating place of learning. I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Ken and Patrick Walsh for their efforts and contribution to our school. Their efforts are appreciated. They both go above and beyond for both us and our children. If you would like to thank them you may wish to consider letting them know. Anita McKenzie School Council President
