The career guidance and Placement Cell of GFGC, KOPPA creates a platform where

students can showcase their talents which different companies seek to explore and utilize.

Starting from 2014, we have successfully placed a few sections of graduates who have

appeared for placements.

Activities of Career Guidance and Placement Cell:

1. Training Activities:

Training activities are organized like group discussion, aptitude test and mock interview

throughout the year is an effort towards preparing the prospective students for competitive

exams and getting right jobs and enable students to groom for campus selection.

2. Seminars on Job Opportunities:

Seminars are conducted at regular intervals to enable the students to improve their

performance in competitive exams and getting the right jobs.

3. Notice Board:

Information about campus drive in various Government colleges and private colleges and

information published in journals, magazines such as employment news, etc. and daily

newspapers about job offers are displayed on the notice board.

On – Campus Placements:

Arranging campus drive in the college to invite multiple companies to select and hire the

talented and qualified candidates while they are still completing their education.The process

allows the companies to pick the required candidates as and when needed.

Off – Campus Placements:

The students also attend Off Campus Interviews with the help of the Placement and

Career Guidance Cell at various other colleges like GFGC,Thirthalli,Chikmaglore,JCBM College

Sringeri etc. The companies in campus drive are L & T, D-mart, Accenture Solutions, Infosys etc.

and many students had cleared all the rounds and got selected.

Training Activities:

A Government sponsored UNNATHI programme conducted in our college to create the

knowledge among final year students about various skills required for getting jobs in various

areas like group discussion, Mock interview, aptitude test and resume writing activities are

organized for students to make them prepared for facing interview. Four batch of students

were trained and each batch consist of around 50 students for a period of 30 hours of each

batch.The programme was inaugurated by Joint Director,Shimoga division and Principal of the

college was preside the programme.

Notice Board:

Information about job fair at different colleges like JCBM College Sringeri,GFGC

Shivamogga,Chikmagore, for final year students. The companies are Infosys, L& T etc.are

displayed at notice board.

Seminars on Job Opportunities:

Seminar organized on job information and career guidance at our college on 06/03/2020.The

resource person of the session was Sri.Basavraj from Banglore.

Workshop organized on job opporchunities at KSRTC Chikmaglore Division at our college on

Work shop on Competitive exams.

A work shop conducted to create knowledge about how to face interviews and various competitive

exams.Resource persons are Rajmohamed,(Programme Manager )and Charan Kumar (Programme

Associate)from Educational Trust Deshpanday Founation Hubli on 22/01/2019

On – Campus Placements on 05.02.2019

About fifteen Leading organization like LIC Koppa,Silver Peak Global Pvt

Banglore.Ltd,Shahi export Shimoga,ECS Pvt Ltd Banglore,Axis Bank Koppa,KSRTC,,Seven

stallation pvt Ltd.Banglore,Shruthi motors Shimoga,Came to the college campus for conducting

the various tests and Interviews and most of the students successfully cleared the rounds and

got selected and placed.

More than 500 students from various colleges like GFGC Ripponpet,Koppa,JCBM Shringeri,GFGC

N.R Pura, ITI College Koppa were participated and 352 students were short listed for final

selection.

Off – Campus Placements:

The students also attend Off Campus Interviews with the help of the Placement and Career guidance

cell at GFGC Bapujinagar Shimoga conducted on 31/01/2019,JCBM Sringeri on 16/03/2019 and one

student of our college Bhoomika III B.Com A Sect.selected for Infosys.
