Happy 1st Anniversary!

Our Mission

The Denver Society of Creation is a non-profit

501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to promoting

a clear understanding of the Doctrine of

Creation, recognizing that it is the foundation for

other Christian doctrine. We present the Biblical

account of Creation (creation in six 24-hour

days about 6000 years ago and a global flood)

as true and we demonstrate that the theory of

evolution is an attack on Biblical Christian

teachings which causes many to reject the

Christian faith.

Our Goals and Results

Bring in expert speakers (both theological and

scientific)

9 Speakers on various topics in science and theology

Create/host seminars on creation topics

Hosted four “Movie Nights”, three at Ascension and

one in Tin Cup, CO

Attended Pastor’s Conference in Taos, and provided

free resources to support Pastors.

• Dr. Joel Heck’s Book, “In the Beginning, God”

• Dr. Terry Mortenson’s DVD “Millions of Years – Where did

the Idea Come From?”

• Thanks to Hope Lutheran Church for providing copies of

“Martin Luther’s Commentary on Genesis 1-4”

Created a 4 week Sunday School Class for

Junior/High High School based on the “Out of

Nothing” study by Pastor Steve Misch.

and Lutheran School Teachers.

where emphasis is on God as creator and moral

authority. Participated in Creation Sunday at Peace Lutheran Church

Judy Finnessy spoke at the Adult Bible Class on “Using Critical

Thinking Skills to Disarm Evolutionists ”

Advocate within the LC-MS for a reaffirmation of

creation in six 24-hour days and a young earth Judy Finnessy spoke at the Society of Creation Meeting in

Mequon Wisconsin on “Forming a Local Chapter”

Letter writing campaign to St. Louis Seminary and Concordia

Universities

Creation of resolution to re-affirm LC-MS stand on Biblical

creation written and introduced into circuits.

• Emphasis on circuits in the Rocky Mountain District

• 10 Other states touched as well

Pastor Brian Flamme spoke at the Pastors Conference in Taos

on the importance of teaching Biblical Creation.

Testimony From a High School Student

“…These past three years in high school have shown me

how hard it can be to be the minority. Sadly, these days in

school, you are in the minority if you believe in God and

stand up for your beliefs. At this time in school, all we were

learning in science class was Evolution and the Big Bang

theory. I didn’t understand any of it.

How could someone teach this as truth when it’s just another

theory? Why does no one think that Creation could be the

truth to how we all began? Often I would be the only one

wanting to challenge these theories. In turn, I was

sometimes criticized from a few teachers for actually

believing the Bible…

Testimony From a High School Student

Not until this year’s lesson on Creation at Ascension, did I

really begin to understand. As I learned, there is an

overwhelming amount of evidence that supports Creation,

it would honestly be crazy not to believe it. One of the most

important things I took away from this study is that, it is

important to believe all of creation, all. Because if you only

believe a little bit here and little there, it then gives the

impression that you can pick and choose what to believe in

the rest of the Bible.

Now, knowing this, it is even more important to me to be strong

in my faith and show others that you can believe all of it, and

have a complete trust in the Lord… “

Farewell to Pastor Flamme

Pastor Brian Flamme has accepted a call

to Roswell, NM.

Pastor Flamme has served on our Board

of Directors since March of 2017

He has been an amazing supporter and

advisor!

We wish him well and will miss him

greatly!
