ContraindicationsShould not be used to support a temporaryrestoration.
Cleaning and Sterilization RecommendationThe devices are delivered sterile. Opened pack-ages of abutments that have never entered theoral cavity of a patient may be cleaned and steamautoclaved, according to established procedures,at the local hospital or clinic.
ProcedureThe Healing Abutment is connected to theimplant with the 0.050" hexagon screwdriver.Before final tightening, verify with a radiographthat the abutment is completely seated to confirmthe metal-to-metal interface.
PrecautionsIt is imperative that all tissue and bone fragmentsbe removed from the implant interface beforeseating the Healing Abutment. Professionals using Steri-Oss™ and Replace™
Systems should obtain appropriate training andeducation for their particular level of treatment.Contact Nobel Biocare for further information.

Direct Abutment, EngagingThis device is first processed by thelab. It is a permanent intra-oral abut-ment that is secured to the implantfor a single screw-retained restora-tion. It can also be used to fabricate acustom abutment for a cementablerestoration.
ProcedureAfter the lab has processed the Direct Abutment,it is tightened with the manual 0.050" hexagonscrewdriver. The abutment should interlock withthe implant’s external hex. Before tightening to35 Ncm, verify with a radiograph that the abut-
ment is completely seated to confirm the metal-to-metal interface.
PrecautionsIt is imperative that all tissue and bone fragmentsbe removed from the implant interface beforeseating the Direct Abutment. ProcedureAfter the lab has processed the splinted frame-work/ restoration, it is then placed and tightened
with the manual 0.050" hexagon screwdriver.Before tightening to 35 Ncm, verify with a radi-ograph that all abutments are completely seatedto confirm the metal-to-metal interface and pas-sive fit.

PME Transmucosal AbutmentThis abutment is used for a multiple-unit screw-retained prosthesis for an implant with less than a40° divergent profile.
ContraindicationsThe PME Transmucosal Abutment supports single-tooth restorations.
Cleaning and Sterilization RecommendationThe devices are delivered sterile. Opened pack-ages of abutments that have never entered theoral cavity of a patient may be cleaned and steamautoclaved according to established proceduresfor similar products at a local hospital or clinic.
ProcedurePlace the PME Transmucosal Abutment with theTransmucosal Abutment Wrench. Verify with a radiograph that the abutment is completely seat-ed to confirm the metal-to-metal interface withthe implant. Finish tightening with the torquewrench at 35 Ncm and with the TransmucosalAbutment Insert. Tighten the restoration onto thePME Abutments with coping screws tightenedand torqued to 35 Ncm.
PrecautionsIt is imperative that all tissue and bone fragmentsbe removed from the implant interface beforeseating the PME Transmucosal Abutment. Notethat the torque wrench cannot be used to tightenthe titanium-healing cap that is placed over theabutment prior to temporization. Professionalsusing Steri-Oss™ and Replace™ Systems shouldobtain appropriate training and education fortheir particular level of treatment. Contact NobelBiocare for further information.

O-Ring AbutmentThis abutment is a permanent intra-oral abutmentsecured to the implant for implant-retained, tis-sue-supported overdentures, typically with two ormore relatively parallel (<10°) implants.
ContraindicationsThe O-Ring Abutment supports single-toothrestorations and/or implants less than 13 mm in length.
Cleaning and Sterilization RecommendationThe devices are delivered sterile. Opened pack-ages of abutments that have never entered theoral cavity of a patient may be cleaned and steamautoclaved according to established proceduresfor similar products at a local hospital or clinic.
ProcedurePlace the O-Ring Abutment. Verify with a radi-ograph that the abutment is completely seated to confirm the metal-to-metal interface. Tightento 35 Ncm. Take an impression directly over theO-Ring Abutment and send to a lab. Relieve thedenture over the abutment, if necessary. Place thedenture and check occlusion.

Transfer ImpressionThis device is used when the location, angulationof the hex or internal chamber of the implant willbe transferred to a diagnostic model. The implant impression will give the lab a working model of the implant.
ContraindicationsThe Transfer Impression must not be used as atemporary abutment.
ProcedurePlace the appropriate Open-Tray TransferAssembly over the implant and tighten with the
0.050" hex driver. Verify with a radiograph thatthe abutment is completely seated to confirm themetal-to-metal interface. Record an impressionusing a tray with a window cut out above theassembly. The retaining screw must protrudethrough the opening of the impression tray andbe clearly visible. After the material has set, loosenand remove the impression.

VorgehensweiseNach der Bearbeitung des Direct Abutments im Laborwird es mit dem manuellen Sechskantschraubendrehervon 0,050 Zoll angezogen. Direct Abutment, no rotatorioEste dispositivo se procesa primero en ellaboratorio. Es un pilar intraoral perma-nente que se fija al implante para una res-tauración atornillada unitaria. Tambiénpuede utilizarse para fabricar un pilar perso-nalizado para una restauración cementada.
ProcedimientoUna vez procesado el pilar Direct Abutment por ellaboratorio, se aprieta con el destornillador hexa -gonal manual 0,050". El pilar debe encajar con elhexágono externo del implante. Antes del apriete a 35 Ncm, compruebe con una radiografía que el
pilar está completamente asentado para confirmarla interfase con el implante.

Transfer ImpressionEste dispositivo se utiliza cuando la ubicación o angu-lación del hexágono o la cámara interna del implantese va a transferir a un modelo de diagnóstico. La impre-sión del implante proporcionará al laboratorio unmodelo de trabajo del implante.
ContraindicacionesLa cofia de impresión Transfer Impression no debeutilizarse como un pilar provisional.
ProcedimientoColoque el conjunto Open-Tray Transfer Assemblyadecuado sobre el implante y apriete con el destorni-llador 0,050" hex driver. Compruebe con una radio-
grafía que el pilar está completamente asentado paraconfirmar la inter fase con el implante. Registre unaimpresión utilizando una bandeja con una ventanaencima del conjunto. El tornillo protésico debe sobre-salir a través de la apertura de la cubeta de impresión y ser claramente visible. Una vez que el material hayafraguado, afloje la impresión y retírela.

Pilier anti-rotationnel DirectAbutment, EngagingCe dispositif est d’abord traité par le labora-toire. Il s’agit d’un pilier intra-oral définitiffixé sur implant pour une restauration visséeunitaire. Il peut également servir à fabriquerun pilier personnalisé pour une restaurationscellable.
ProtocoleAprès le traitement du pilier Direct Abutment par le labo-ratoire, le pilier est vissé à l’aide du tournevis hexagonalmanuel de 0,050" (1 mm). Le pilier doit être intégré àl’interface externe hexagonale de l’implant. Avant le serra-ge à 35 Ncm, vérifier avec une radiographie que le pilier
est complètement en place pour confirmer l’interfacemétallo-métallique.

ControindicazioniIl Transfer Impression non deve essere utilizzato comeabutment temporaneo.
ProceduraPosizionare l’appropriato Open-Tray Transfer Assemblysull’impianto e serrare con il Hex Driver 0,050". Verificarecon una radiografia che l’abutment sia completamente
inserito, in modo da confermare l’interfaccia metallo-metallo. Prendere un’impronta utilizzando un portaim-pronta e lasciare una finestra di spazio libero sui com-ponenti assemblati. La vite di fissaggio dovrà sporgeredall’apertura del portaimpronta ed essere chiaramentevisibile. Una volta posizionato il materiale, rimuovere ilportaimpronta.

Contra-indicaçõesA Transfer Impression não pode ser utilizada comopilar provisório.
ProcedimentoColoque o Open-Tray Transfer Assembly apropriadosobre o implante e aperte com o hex driver de 0,050".
Verifique numa radiografia se o pilar está bem encai-xado para confirmar a interface metal-a-metal. Registeuma impressão utilizando um tabuleiro com um corteem janela acima do conjunto. O parafuso protéticotem de sobressair através da abertura do tabuleiro deimpressão e ficar claramente visível. Depois de o mate-rial secar, solte e remova a impressão.
