A wide range of components allow complex conveyors

to be implemented – even with transfer points to other

conveyors.

Easy-to-assemble construction kit

The entire deniway® construction kit is based on modules.

The basic components can be used to plan and construct a

wide variety of conveyors for unit goods.

Screw connections are used throughout. As a result, assembly

is particularly easy and the layout can be altered quickly.

Standard components and auxiliary equipment can be added

to the conveyors to provide other functions, such as for

example merges. Components from other manufacturers can

be integrated without any problem.

The deniway® construction kit

Straightforward project engineering, effi cient conveying

deniway® plate chain conveyors combine the advan-

tages of different conveyor types in a practical construc-

tion kit.

The plate chain is guided with little friction in a centre

channel on rollers and supported at the sides by an

aluminium profi le.

As a result, horizontal and vertical changes of direction,

as well curves are possible in a conveyor. deniway®

conveyors have been top performers in unit goods

conveying for decades. They have also proved to be

extremely reliable and low on maintenance.

Precision bolt connections allow quick assembly and

easy alteration of the layout.

Low costs

When the complexity of a layout in standard conveyors

increases, costs often rise because several conveyors and

different conveyor types are used.

With deniway®, in one single conveyor you can implement

horizontal and vertical changes of direction, as well as

sections of the conveyor that incline sideways. Depending on

the length, the costs only change disproportionately because

only a few drives are needed on long conveyors. Therefore,

the more complex a system gets, the more benefi ts deniway®

conveyors can offer.

When layouts are changed, the length of the plate chain can

be adapted. There is no need to change belts.

Conveyor systems without a return side can use the entire

length of the chain as a conveying line. Consequently these

sorts of conveyor confi gurations produce the biggest cost

savings.

Low maintenance and running costs

The conveyors implemented with the deniway® construction

kit are reliable and require little maintenance. The very low

incidence of malfunctions reduces downtimes and running

costs.

As the main load of the goods conveyed is borne by a robust

roller chain, there is no wear and tear from abrasion. The

established, state-of-the-art chain technology means low-

noise, lubricant-free conveyors.

Due to the low number of drives, a number of problems, like

synchronisation or transfer points, are avoided. Drive capacity

is maximised.

By using deniway® plate chain conveyors, you minimise the

extra costs and associated risks with changing systems.

Costs for stocking spare parts are drastically cut.

The channels on the deniway are connected with precision

bolts. As a result, quick and easy assembly and excellent

stability is guaranteed.

The plate chain’s standard colour is red. If bulk orders are

placed, colours can be customised.

Single spiral side curve



The curve is produced with a 90.5° angle. By fi tting it at a gradient of 6°

(standard), the angle covered by the curve as projected to the base plane

is then 90°. When the nominal angle is the same, other gradients require

different angles. In the spiral, the conveyor tilts slightly towards the

outside. A side support must be fi tted to the conveyor.

To differentiate between the simple side curves (ESBs), the EWSBs are

marked on the fl ange.

Supports

Narrow for circular conveying and wide for return conveying. The height

of the conveyor is 850 mm. The supports are adjustable in a range of

±100 mm. In straight sections, supports at a distance of max. 2000 mm

and in curved sections at distance of 1500 mm. Narrow supports

516 mm; wide supports 616 mm.

The supports are fastened to the ground and with the channel.

Please note: The supports for compensators must be fi tted on sliding

plates.

Spiral support

Four supports are required for each spiral and their height depends on

the height of the spiral. The supports are screwed to the ground and

have arms on which the channel is affi xed with clamps. The connecting

S i d e s u p p o r t s

Aluminium side supports

Side supports support the side of the plate chain in sections subjected to

load at the sides from the goods conveyed, e.g. merges or where wide

products are not positioned in the middle of the belt. We recommend

their usage. Side supports are supplied in pairs for both sides of the

conveyor. Their lengths, radii and direction of curvature are based on the

centre guidance channel.

Retrofi tting with lateral rods is only possible in version P channel sections

(see page 8).

In all PS-type channel sections, side supports, connecting rods, screws

and connectors are already included.

Please note: lateral rods must be ordered separately.

Project engineering information

The deniway® construction kit has been designed to

implement a complete conveyor with the standard parts.

The conveyors can be adjusted to handle many different

requirements.

A few bas ic pr inc ip les

for concept deve lopment and assembly

– Straight lines should be divided up into as many three-

metre sections as possible.

– Divide curves up into as large segments as possible.

Largest segment = 90°.

– A straight channel, at least L ≥ 300 mm, should always

be placed between changes of direction or transitions from

side curves to positive or negative curves.

– Channel supports in straight sections every 2 to 2.5 m,

in side curves every 1.5 to 2 m (curve dimensions). The

supports should be distributed evenly throughout the

conveyor.

– When using our standard supports, the table height is

850 mm.

The supports can be adjusted in a ± 100 mm range.

– The conveyor should include sideways guiders in sections

that are over head height.

Please note

In exceptional cases, some conveyors might require different

procedures and equipment that vary from those outlined

above. At the project planning and assembly stage of the

conveyors, the appropriate statutory regulations and health

and safety regulations must be abided by.

Company profi le

Denipro AG whose headquarters are in Weinfelden (Switzer-

land), produces well-engineered conveying technology which

sets the standard in integrated production logistics. The

manufacturing company specialises in the mass production

of chains and grippers and their assembly. Denipro AG also

uses effi cient processes, matched perfectly to the customer’s

requirement profi les, to manufacture components and sub-

assemblies for Ferag AG in Hinwil, Switzerland.

Using this know-how as a basis, Denipro AG develops and

constructs mass production components and modules for

the conveying technology industry. The conveying technology

used in new applications for rolling principles means that

friction resistances are being eliminated in many instances.

This opens up other sectors or industry outside the graphics

sector for the company.
