T h e C a m p a i g n f o r D e l t a M u C O N T I N U I N G T H E T R A D I T I O N UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO DELTA TAU DELTA Delta Mu Chapter On behalf of the campaign leadership, I must thank each of you who have participated in our efforts to renovate and expand the Shelter. To date, we have received $1,309,198 in pledges and gifts from 136 brothers. It is gratifying to see so many of you wholeheartedly believe in and support this vital project. Even with this success, we still have a long way to go in order to complete this restoration project and ensure our financial stability. We need the support of all brothers to add to the 136 loyal brothers who have already contributed. We must raise more than $890,000 to achieve our $2.2 million envisioned goal. If we are going to attract and retain quality men and offer them an environment to grow, then providing the best educational and social environment is absolutely essential. Here’s the bottom line for today’s entering student: unless he comes from a fraternity background, he will be wowed by the new apartment-style dorms the University has built. It’s clear, like it or not, that the chapters that have renovated their homes do better in recruitment. The Sigma Nus are currently involved in their own renovation project from a similar fundraising effort. In our day, many of us took for granted what it takes to have a quality physical structure. As one brother put it, “We have all warmed ourselves by a fire we didn’t build. Now it’s time to throw our own logs onto the fire.” Right here and now, your financial resources are what will make the difference in the future of our beloved chapter. By investing in this project, you are investing in the future leaders of our 21st century. Your pledge is needed today. Every gift to the campaign is signif- icant and greatly appreciated. Remember, a five-year pledge period is available to allow you to stretch your gift. Like many have already done, you may give a memorial gift in honor of a family member, pledge brother, or a housemother. Simply complete and return the enclosed pledge card indicating your gift to the campaign. Each donor who contributes $1,000 or more will be recognized on a prominently displayed plaque in the new Shelter. If you would like more information about the campaign, contact Jerry Cooper, campaign coordinator, at (785) 843-1661 or [email protected]. Again, on behalf of all Delta Tau Delta brothers—past, present, and future—we would like to personally thank you for your continued interest in and support of Delta Tau Delta at the University of Idaho. It has proven to be a very special brotherhood. Fraternally, John A.
