COM2 and COM3 – Rs 485 Communication• To link external devices for PLC

communication. Example HMI, VFD etc.

Ethernet Interface

• To link the PLC with Ethernet devices like HMI, Servo etc. or to link it to network for SCADA interface.

Step 1 – Connect PLC and PC via Ethernet cable

Step 2 – Find PLC in COMMGR

If you are using router, just plug it to the available Ethernet port. In the router make sure DHCP mode is available.

Open COMMGR, select Connection type Ethernet, select Ethernet card and click search

Step 3 – Click OK and make sure the status of this connection is ‘Start’

Step 1 – Open ISP Soft


1. Introduction to PLC1.3 Start up Check

Open ISP Soft and create a new program, Select PLC Type: SE

We do start up check to make sure inputs and outputs are working fine.

Step 2 – Right Click on Device Monitoring Table and select ‘NEW’




You can give suitable name to this monitor table

Step 3 – Enter PLC Input and Output Addresses in this table




To enter the address, just double click on the white area and enter the PLC Input addresses as X0, X1, X2.. And so on.. Do the same for PLC Outputs

Step 4 – Click on Device Monitoring




This will enable software to read PLC Inputs and Outputs status entered in the monitoring table.

Step 1 – Right Click on Program and click ‘New’

Enter the Program Name and make sure it’s Cyclic Task and Ladder Diagram selected as default as shown below

The software ISP Soft has built in compiler and software downloading application

Step 2 – Write a sample Logic

You can write the below logic by typing ‘LD X0’ (Enter) and then ‘Out Y0’ (Enter)

Step 3 – Check Communication settingsMake sure your PLC Software communication is set to Ethernet as configured before. This options comes from Tools – Communication Settings.

1.4 Transfer the ProgramThe software ISP Soft has built in compiler and software downloading application

Step 4 – Click on Download to PLC

And then click ‘Transfer’. This will automatically compile the logic and check for any errors

Step 5 – After downloading click Online Mode
