URBANISATION IN THE MODERN ERA

The year 1911 changed the course of Indian history. The many protest movements led by Bengalis , the MohunBagan Victory and an inclination towards Ancient Indian Culture led to the shift of the British capital from Calcuttato Delhi. A Mughal city was transformed into a modern Capital with an English touch by the talented architect Edwin Lutyens.
