Session met in session room & was constituted with prayers by John B. Mable. Members present Wight, Mable, Chambers & Kent. Min-utes of last meeting read & approved. Resolutions on the death of Elder Robt. Ballantine were read & adopted.

LeRoy Brant & Mrs. LeRoy Brant were received on certificate from the M. E. Church of Walton. Miss Alice More was received on certifi-cate from the U. P. Cong. of Shavertown & on profession of their faith, Misses Maud Shaw, Myrtle Johnston, Jennie B. McFarlane, AgnesNichol & Mary E. Combs & Mr. Walter R. Ballantine. Allan R. On profession of their faith the following named persons were received into the church: Mrs. Helen Salton & Misses Mary E. Wannemacher& Lillian Chambers.

On motion Miss Anna Gregg & Miss Adelaide McFall & Mr. & Mrs. James Oliver were invited to participate in the communion Sabbathmorning.

April 5, 1904

Session met at the home of James Kent & was constituted with prayer by Geo. Wight. Minutes of last meeting read and approved. The rollwas revised & corrected. At the last report there were 180 names on the roll. We have had 14 accept, 6 removals & one death & as the roll nowstands there are 187 active members. The statistical report were made out as required.

John B. Mable as principal & Robt. Chambers as alternate were elected delegates to Presbytery which meet at Davenport Apr. 12th. John B.Mable was elected delegate to the General Assembly at Greenville, Pa. with James Kent as alternate.

James Kent was elected Supt. of the Sabbath School with David Clark assistant supt. Myrtle Johnston was elected Secretary & Alice Moretreasurer. A petition containing the names of 136 members asking permission to use an organ in the praise services of the church was received.After a careful consideration the matter, session decided to lay it on the table & take a recess until two weeks form this time at 10 a.m. in orderto give anyone who is opposed to the petition an opportunity to be heard. Geo. Wight asked to be excused from voting on the question. Onmotion the request was granted. John B. Mable was re-elected Clerk & James Kent was re-elected treasurer.

April 19th, 1904

Session met pursuant to adjournment & took the following action. Resolved in reply to the petition of the members of the congregation askingfor the introduction of an instrument into our praise service that we grant said petition. We also suggest that the trustees furnish an instrumentby either rent or purchase when the debt of their cong. is paid & when it can be introduced without incurring any debt. This action was unani-mous.

Four members of the cong. did by word or letter express their dislike for an instrument but also expressed their submission to the will of sessionunder dissent. Namely Betsy Wight, Isabella, Margaret & Mary Bryce. Which dissent is here recorded & we now feel assured that thismatter that has been so long before us is finally & amicably settled. May 14, 1904

Session met in the session rooms & was constituted with prayer by John B. Mable. Members present Milligan, Mable, Wight, Chambers &Kent. Minutes of last meeting were read & stand approved as read.

The Thank Offering on Sabbath to be sent to the Foreign Mission board. Their being no other business, session took a recess till Sabbathmorning. After the communion of the Lord’s Supper session was adjourned with prayers by Rev. M. J. Jerrow of No. Kortright.

Session met in the session room & was constituted with prayer by the moderator. Members present Wight, Chambers & Kent. As there wasno business to come before the session, a recess was taken till after communion on Sabbath when it was adjourned with prayer by Rev. W. S.McDougall.

April 6th, 1905

Session met at the home of George Wight and was constituted with prayer by the moderator. Members all present. The minutes of the lastmeeting were read & approved. The treasurer of session reported that there had been collected for Missions $420.78

And had paid out 273.14

$147.64

Surplus from S. S. added by vote 6.00

$153.64

The treasurer was directed to pay Treasurer of Synod $5.61 & Ministerial relief to receive $10.00. This leaving $138.03 to be divided equallybetween Foreign Missions, Home Missions, Freedmens Missions & Church Extension, which divided as proposed would give $34.50 to each.

After revising the roll we are able to report 180 active members. Contributions per member was $9.81.

Robt. Chambers was elected clerk of session & Geo. Wight treasurer. David Clark S. S., James Ballantine, assistant S.S.; Lillian Cham-bers, Sec. & Mrs. D. M. Murray, treasurer. Geo. Wight was delegated to talk with Andrew Auld in regard to his not attending churchservices. James Kent was elected delegate to Presbytery at Oneonta & was instructed to vote for Union with the Associate PresbyterianChurch of the South. Session adjourned with prayer by James Kent.

The following named persons were received on profession of their faith: Mr. & Mrs. S. Leslie Hector, Miss Ethel J. McPhail and LorettaConklin.

The rite of Baptism was administered to Mr. Mrs. Hector & Loretta Conklin. Andrew Auld appeared and was recognized by the court butleft indecorously.

Session took a recess till Sabbath morning June 4 10:30 o’clock.

Sabbath morning met each member of session offered prayer. The Thank offering taken to be given to Foreign Missions.

After the communion of the Lord’s Supper met and were adjourned with prayer by the moderator.

Recd. on confession of their faith the following persons: Millo J. Roda, Helen S. Hymers, Edith C. Ballantine, William J. Ballantine. Therite of baptism was administered to Millo J. Roda and the infant of Jas. O. Fyffe was also baptized, Clara Bell Fyffe.

Each member of session offered a short prayer.

After the communion of the Lord’s Supper, met and adjourned with prayer by Rev. D. McSafford.

April 3, 1906 DeLancey, N.Y.

Session met at the home of Robt. Chambers. Members of session all present. Constituted with prayer by Elder J. B. Mable. Minutes of lastmeeting read and approved.

Motion carried that when a member of session has to pay car or stage fare in going to and from meetings of the Presbytery that the Congrega-tion be charged with his necessary traveling expenses.

Jas. Kent was elected delegate to Pres. to meet at Garrettsville April 10, 1906.

After revising the roll we are able to report 176 active members. By (?) consent after due deliberation Andrew Auld and Mrs. ClarenceOutwater (?) were dropped from roll. We have suffered a loss of three members by death viz: Seth O. Conklin, Margaret Murray, JennieArmstrong and 9 removals.

Our Treasurer of session reports $342.36 for missions divided pro rata according to direction of General Assembly. Rev. A. M. Milligan waselected Treas. of Session. Robt. Chambers clerk, Jas. A. Ballantine, S. S. Supt., D. M. Murray, Ass’t Supt., Helen S. Hymers, Sec., JessieWannamacher, Treasurer, Alice More, Sabbath School Missionary for Cong. Motion carried that we adopt the individual communion service.

A friend of the congregation having offered to present us with an individual communion service we do gratefully accept the offer.

Session met in session room. Constituted by prayer by the Moderator. Members of session all present. Minutes read and approved. The follow-ing persons were received on profession of their faith. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. H. Gray, Mabel Ray Nicoll, Mrs. Eugene Keene. Mr. and Mrs.Wm. K. Nicoll were received by certificate from Cabin Hill U. P. Church. Mrs. Celia M. Curry from First Congregation Church of Walton,Mr. Arthur Hymers from the West Delhi U. P. Church. Took a recess till Sabbath morning at ten a.m.

Sabbath morning, June 17, 1906, Wm. Johnston was received on certificate. We then had a few minutes of sweet communion with God inprayer. Each member offering prayer. Rev. Kimelshue assisted both in the Sat. & Sabbath services.

Rev. A. M. Milligan requested the month of July for a vacation. Request was granted. After communion of the Lord’s Supper, session wasadjourned with prayer by Rev. E. F. Kimelshue.

Mrs. George R. Terry was examined and received on profession of her faith.

Motion that the Ladies Missionary Society assume the care of the individual communion service also of the old service.

Session met, all present.

Motion that Wm. Stewart, an Elder in the Reformed Presbyterian Church be invited to sit with us as a consultative member and to assist us inserving at the Lord’s Supper.

Mr. & Mrs. Robt. Cairns were received by certificate from the Cabin Hill U. P. Church. Also, Elizabeth B. Chambers was received onconfession of her faith.

Motion that the donor of the individual communion service be tendered a hearty vote of thanks & that the Rev. A. M. Milligan be appointed toexpress such in behalf of the Congregation.

There was a few minutes spent in communion with God in prayer. Each member offering a brief prayer.

After the dispensation of the Lord’s Supper, Rev. E. F. Thompson, who assisted, adjourned the session with prayer.

Session met at the home of John B. Mable. Members of session all present. Constituted by prayer by Elder Jas. Kent. Minutes of last meetingread and approved after revising the roll we found we have an accession of thirteen, removals eight, deaths two, viz: Wesley Terry & Eliza-beth Biggar, leaving us a net gain of three.

Completing the statistical reports finding several delinquents, the following motion was carried viz: That the trustees visit personally eachdelinquent in their respective districts and report each one that refuses to support towards the ministers salary to the session.

J. B. Mable was elected delegate to Presbytery of Walton April 9th, Jas. Kent alternate.

Geo. Wight was elected Treasurer of Session; John B. Mable, Clerk of Session.

The present Sabbath school officers were re-elected, viz:

Session met in the session room & was constituted with prayer by the moderator. Members all present.

Mrs. Anna Gregg Milligan, was received by certificate from the North Presbyterian Church of Alleghany, Pa. On profession of their faith thefollowing named persons were received into full membership-John Scobie, Jennie Wannemacher, Mrs. Frank L. Stewart & Leslie Cairns.

On motion the trustees were requested to repair the memorial window of Mr.& Mrs. John S. Murray by having their names put on the panelthat was broken. Session took a recess till Sabbath morning. After the communion of the Lord’s Supper session adjourned with prayer by Rev.W. L. Warnock of New Kingston.

The pastor was assisted on this occasion by Rev. Ralph Atkinson of Chicago.

After communion was dispensed session was adjourned with prayer by Bro. Atkinson.

The Sabbath School officers elected were Jas. A. Chambers, Superintendent,Robt. Ballantine, Assistant Supt., Miss Lillian J. MacNaught, Treasurer & Muriel Salton, Secretary.

After communion on Sabbath, session adjourned with prayer by the moderator.

The annual meeting of session was held at Geo. Wight’s. Members present Wight, Chambers & Kent. Session was constituted with prayerby Jas. Kent. Elder Wight was elected Mod. The roll was revised & we have 187 active members. Removals 11, three members have diedduring the year & we received 15 new members. John B. Mable was appointed delegate to Presbytery which meets at Shavertown April 13 &Jas. Kent to be his alternate. John B. Mable was elected clerk of session, James Kent, treasurer. The Sabbath School officers were re-elected. Robt. Chambers was elected delegate to the general assembly of the U. P. Church to be held at Knoxville, Tenn., ‘subject to theapproval of Presbytery’. Jas. Kent was chosen his alternate. Session was closed with prayer by Robt. Chambers.

Session met in the Session room and was constituted with prayer by the Rev. F. O. Ross. Members present Wight, Mable, Chambers &Kent. The report of the last meeting was read & approved as read.

Margaret J. Adams was received as a member of the Congregation on profession of her faith.

An informant Congregation meeting was ordered to be called for Thursday May 27th at 1:30 p.m. to ascertain if we were ready to call a pastor.Session took a recess till Sab. morning at 10"45 a.m. After the communion services were dispensed. Session adjourned with prayer b the mod-erator.

Merle Salton came before this session & on examination and profession of the faith was received into membership and her name added to theroll.

Session was constituted with prayer by Mr. Chambers.

The roll was revised & shows 169 active members. There were 16 removals & 4 deaths during the year last past.

Jas. Kent was elected treasurer of session & John B. Mable. clerk.

It was voted that the commissioner to Presbytery be allowed car fare going & returning from the meeting of Presbytery.

Robt. Chambers was chosen to represent the session at the next meeting of Presbytery to be held in Oneonta.

Jas. Kent was elected Supt. of Sabbath School with Harry McLachlan assistant Supt.

Helen Hymers was elected treasurer & Mable R. Nicoll, secretary.

Session adjourned with prayer by Jas. Kent.

Whereas God in his providence has called our late pastor Rev. A. McLeod Milligan to his esteemed home.

Resolved that we as a session extend our sincere sympathy to his beloved partner in life, Mrs. Anna Gregg Milligan in her great bereavement.

July 14, 1910

Session met at the parsonage & was constituted with prayer by the moderator. Members present, Wight, Mable & Kent.

It was moved & adapted that the letter of the Way & Means Committee of the U. P. Church be rec’d to the Congregation & that on expressionbe taken to see how many are willing to adopt its requirements.

Resolved that we will hereafter have three communions a year. This time to be the third Sabbath of January, May & September.

On motion the treasurer was authorized to pay Mr. Springer $3.23 for a new church register.

The session was appointed to raise funds for benevolence & missions. Session adjourned with prayer by Mable., Mod. John B. Mable, Clerk

Milligan-Resolutions of the members of the session of the De Lancey (N.Y.) United Presbyterian church on the death of the Rev.Alexander McLeod Milligan, former pastor of the congregation.

WHEREAS, We, members of the session of the United Presbyterian church of DeLancey, N.Y. having learned with sorrow of the death ofthe Rev. Alexander McLeod Milligan, former pastor of the congregation; therefore, be it

Resolved, 1. That in his death a good preacher and pastor, and a patriotic citizen, has been called to his reward.

2. That we bear testimony to his loyalty and faithfulness in all of his preaching and teaching to the Word of God, and to his ability as aclear and able expositor of the Holy Scriptures.

3. That we herewith express our sense of personal loss in his death, and feel that the United Presbyterian Church has lost an able andfaithful defender of her standards, and the Church of Christ at large a devoted servant.

4.That in his untimely death, cut down, as he was, in the flush and vigor of his manhood, we hear the divine call and warning extendedunto us, “be ye therefore ready also’ for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not” (Luke 12:40; Matt. 24:14).

5. That we commend his bereaved wife and relatives in their sorrow to the God of all comfort and consolation, “and to the work of hisgrace, which is able to build them up, and to give them an inheritance among all them which are sanctified”. (Acts 20:32)

6. That these resolutions be entered upon the minutes of the session, and a copy be forwarded to the wife of the deceased.

Session met in the session room & was constituted with prayer by the moderator. Members all present. Minutes of the last meeting were read &approved.

The action of the moderator & Clerk dismissing Mrs. Ella Springer, James Springer & Grace Springer was approved. Mary M. Oliver was

received on profession of her faith.

The session took a recess till Sabbath morning & then held a short session of prayer.

The communion of the Lord’s Supper was observed after which session was adjourned with prayer by Jas. Kent.

Messrs. Chambers, Kent & Bostwick were appointed a Missionary Committee.

The following named ladies & gentlemen were appointed to canvass the different sections of the congregation for missions. Mrs. Robt. Cham-bers & Mrs. D. S. Ballantine, Chambers Hollow. The annual meeting of Sessions was held at the home of Mr. Geo. Wight & was opened with prayer by Dr. Mitchell. After revising the roll wefind that we have 232 members enrolled. John B. Mable was elected Clerk of Session.

The following were named for Sabbath School Officers: James A. Ballantine, Supt., Allan Henderson, Assistant Supt., Jennie T. Salton,Secretary, Eleanor Hymers, Treasurer. It was recommended that the Brotherhood give the treasurer of the congregation $30.00 of the fundsnow in their hands. The clerk was instructed to purchase a new session book.

The Clerk was instructed to inform John P. Auld when we held communion & that if hedesired his name kept on the roll, it would be necessary for him to contribute to the support of the Church.

We as a session endorse the Young People’s Movement & appoint Mr. Bailey as the representative of the session.

John B. Mable is to represent the session at the next meeting of Presbytery to be held at Andes April 14th.

The annual meeting of session was held at the home of John Bostwick and was constituted with prayer by Alex Bailey.

Mr. Bailey was elected moderator. Members present, George Wight, Alex Bailey, Robert Chambers and John Bostwick. Mr. John Mablearrived later.

The roll was revised and we have 233 members all told, there have been 8 deaths and 14 removals.

Mr. Bailey was chosen to represent session at Presbytery to be held at Oneonta April 12fth. John Bostwick alternate.
