Recreation ProgrammingFriendly reminder, we plan many programs out months in advance. WIth COVID-19 being an ever evolving situation we are constantly evaluating and will continue to make deci-sions on whether programs will run or not based on what is best for the community. Know that we are doing our best to provide the most up to date information. If you have any questions on the status of a program please contact Reese MacAskill at [email protected] or 846-6751.
Village Provided ServicesAs the COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve, we ask that you please conduct your business without face-to-face contact with Village staff. If you need assistance, please call us at 846-6751 before visiting. This caution is in the best interest of the community. A number of our services are impacted by COVID-19. For a complete list visit: www.vi.deforest.wi.us/covid19
Parks The Village of DeForest is using the best information we have to take proactive steps to protect the health of our community. Outdoor spaces are critical to the mental and physical health of community members. The Village’s parks and trails are still open for your enjoyment. Visitors are encouraged to bring hand sanitizer with them, as the other surfaces at the parks are not sanitized. Remember that while at the park, it is important to maintain social distancing: self-limit to groups of nine or less and stay at least six feet from each other. Also, if you do not feel well or someone in your house is sick, please stay home. Older adults, pregnant individuals, and people with underlying health conditions/weakened immune systems are at an increased risk of COVID-19 and are encouraged to take extra precautions. At this time, park bathrooms, playgrounds and athletic fields are closed. We have not yet set a date on re-opening. Take care everyone, wash your hands, stay positive and get outside.

Adult Programming(New) Summer Fitness Membership Pass NEW this year we are changing up how we do our summer fitness classes! Instead of signing up for your traditional class, we will be offering a summer fitness pass. With this pass you are able to attend as many fitness classes as you want during our summer schedule (May 11th - August 27th). Our class offering is listed below, to get the most up to date listing of classes, please use the Fit Pass page on our village website (www.vi.deforest.wi.us/fitpass). With no traditional sessions, please make sure to keep up to date with the weekly class offerings as we will be work-ing with instructors on their vacations. For those of you who track fitness classes for insurance reimbursement, don’t fret, we will be providing instructors with a list of summer fitness pass members. Taking attendance will be crucial and we will be tracking attendance 1) to see if this
program was successful and 2) to track for any insurance reports that would need to be ran. Fitness pass members will receive a card in the mail after purchase that they will need to bring with them to class (similar to our fit pass but no punches are needed). Fit passes will still be available for those who wish to be a part of that program. Summer schedules are crazy and we want to provide a more flexible fitness option to our community members. We have also planned to make this a more affordable op-tion for the summer as a thank you to all our loyal partic-ipants throughout the year. If you have any questions on the program, please contact Reese MacAskill at 846-6751 or [email protected] under cost means Membership Pass.

Thank You For Your Support!I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has continued to support us, our programs, our parks, and our staff in this crazy time. It has given us much relief to know how understanding everyone has been as we try to find the best answers. We all know that life will eventually resume back to probably a somewhat new normal and we look for-ward to the day that we can open up all our programming, special events and parks. In the meantime please know that it is YOU that helps us be successful. As always please feel free to reach out at any time with program ideas or areas you would like to see our department grow. We look for-ward to being back in action as soon as possible and again thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support!Sincerely, Reese MacAskill and the rest of the Village StaffWindsor Elementary School
Program EnrollmentUntil further notice please continue to register for programs that are scheduled to start after May 5th. We will be chang-ing those programs online to a wait list only registration option. This means that you can put you or your child on the wait list for the program and it will not charge you for the program during registration. This will give you priority regis-tration (within program maximum participants) and allows us to communicate with families that are interested in the program. You will be charged the registration fees at a later time if the program happens. It is important to go through the registration process and adding to the wait list.
