Defining the UX research study
1. Identify a problem area
What problem area are you passionate about ?What problem area is the client interested in?What problem area do you have resources for?
What problem area is really a problem?
Exercise: List problem areas then select one

2. Explore questions about the problem area
Exercise: affinity diagramming
Examples

3. Choose which questions to solve

List all possible users and then select the ones you will focus on

5. Create a Hunt statement
“ To investigate how new Nairobi University students at Chiromo

Kagonya Awori is a User Experience Researcher with the iHub UX Lab in Nairobi, Kenya.
She holds a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University, USA, an Ivy League, making her the first African with an MHCI from Carnegie Mellon. Kagonya is passionate about catalyzing the knowledge and application of user experience design in the burgeoning tech community in Kenya.
