– Introduce 29 special circumstance travel trip types not previously functional in DTS

– Facilitate military members’ ability to conduct Permanent Duty Travel (PDT)

• Provides an on-line interface to process travel orders

• Estimate expenses

• Make PDT travel reservations for member and authorized dependents

Using DTS for Permanent Duty Travel

Facilitates military members’ Permanent Duty Travel (PDT)

• Provides an on-line interface to:– Make PDT travel/lodging reservations for member and

authorized dependents

– Capture/calculate PDT allowances to receive timely payments via split disbursement

• Provides DoD with the ability to:– Import/originate PDT travel orders (Authorizations)

– Automate accounting transactions for PDT

– Automate PDT accounts receivable processing

– Automate approval and certification of travel claims
